Fr Martin you are a Good Shepherd to our children ☀️thank you for giving our children the opportunity to learn the gift of service 🙏

It is St Joseph’s Day and the Sun is shining ☀️

Father Martin delivered a beautiful homily where he put an emphasise on the value of team work.

We then had the opportunity to work as a team as we split into house groups for some fun tabloid sports.

The day was rounded off with the generous donation of a Juicy for every child courtesy of our wonderful PTA.

Another great day at GSS!

We now have brand new Heat Pumps in every classroom thanks to the amazing fundraising efforts of our community!

These will keep our children cool in summer ☀️ and warm in Winter ❄️

Sincere thank you to our wonderful fair committee for leading such a fun and successful school fair. The overall support from the Good Shepherd School and Church community was a testament to how team work makes the dream work! It is our children who will benefit most :)

And what an exciting and engaging experience it was. Our children were enthralled through out and constantly given opportunities to participate in the show!

Today was a special morning with Fr Martin. He spoke with our senior children and in particular some of our Special Character Leaders as we prepare for Lent.

Welcome back to GSS everybody!!

It has been an exciting first week with two highlights in particular.

Our year 6 children had three days at the Sir Peter Blake Marine Education and Recreation Centre in Long Bay. We were blessed with stunning weather for our year 6 leaders to bond and take part in exciting tasks and challenges as they prepare for the year ahead. Thank you to the wonderful staff and parents who made this such a memorable camp!

Today we also welcomed new families to our school with a beautiful Pōwhiri. A great opportunity to connect and get excited about the year ahead.

It has been a great start to the year ☀️

***Auckland FC visits GSS***

Today we had the privilege of having Harry Ngata and team from Auckland FC visit GSS.

They inspired us by sharing their story of how they came to play for Auckland FC and our children came away with some great learnings and even some prizes! So kind of them to offer signed posters to all the children.

Athletics Day 2025 was a huge success! Thank you to Heather McLeod for her wonderful organisation of the day ☀️ and to the many parent volunteers and staff who made this such a success. It was wonderful to utilise the new Gazebos from the PTA and house banners! The children really pushed hard and should be super proud of their efforts - Go GSS!
