ππΏ Discovering Bugs in the Garden! ππ
Our tamariki had a wonderful time exploring the garden and learning about the tiny bugs that live around us! π± From searching under leaves to spotting little insects, the children were full of curiosity and excitement as they discovered more about the natural world. ππͺ²

π§ͺπ§ Little Scientists at Work! π§π§ͺ
Our tamariki had another exciting science experience, working alongside their Kaiako to explore water, oil, dye, and droppers. ππ¬
The children were fascinated as they carefully squeezed the droppers and watched the colourful dye move through the oil and mix with the water. Through hands-on exploration and conversations with their Kaiako, they were encouraged to observe, ask questions, and discover what happens when different liquids come together.
A fun-filled experiment inspiring curiosity, concentration, and a love for learning through play! π

Exploring Under the Sea ππ
Today, the tamariki in the He KΔkano room enjoyed exploring water sensory bags filled with water and pictures of sea creatures. They were fascinated by the underwater world and eagerly used their hands to squish, touch, and move the sensory bags, discovering the different sea creatures hidden inside. π ππ
Through this sensory experience, the tamariki were developing their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory awareness, and curiosity.

Today the children at Hill Road enjoyed playing with play dough using flowers, leaves and sticks. This supports a connection with nature as it encourages our children to explore and appreciate the natural environment.

Our kiwi room children enjoyed their morning playing with Mobilo's. This learning experience developed the children's building skills.

π§ͺπ¦ Sink or Float? π¦π§ͺ
The Mill Road tamariki became little scientists as they carried out a fun sink or float experiment! Using different items found around our classroom, the children made predictions and then tested each object to discover whether it would float on top of the water or sink to the bottom. πβ¨
A wonderful hands-on learning experience filled with curiosity, excitement, and discovery! π

Today our tamariki did fruit kebabs with a selection of fruits. What a lovely morning promoting healthy eating.
