Literacy is everywhere in our Centre- through our interactions, indoor, outdoor, and throughout the day play,vincluding block play and painting. We recently had a special visit from our library team,who shared some wonderful stories with children. The children enjoyed listening,engaging with the stories,and sharing their excitement as they explored the world of book and story telling together

They explored different colours, matched and sorted the colourful objects, and enjoyed learning together through hands-on play. 🎨👐 It was lovely to see their curiosity and excitement as they explored and discovered.

🌊🐠 A Little Ocean Adventure! 🐠🌊
Today, we explored the underwater world through a fun science activity! 💙 We added blue food colour to water in a glass dish, placed sea-animal pictures underneath, and used glasses to observe them more clearly. 🔍✨ A simple, hands-on activity that made learning about the sea exciting and magical! 🐳🐙🐬

✨🌈 Color Sorting Fun! 🌈✨
Today we explored colors through a hands-on sensory activity! I placed colorful pom-poms inside transparent gloves, tied and cut each finger section to make bright little circles. The children had so much fun taking out the colorful pom-poms and matching them with the correct colors. 💛💚💙❤️

This simple activity helps develop color recognition, fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and concentration while making learning fun and interactive. Watching the children explore, sort, and proudly match each color was such a joyful experience! 🌟🎨🧤

Who needs a jewellery shop when our tamariki are the designers? 😄 With lots of laughter and teamwork, they created colourful friendship bracelets alongside their peers. Every bracelet was made with care, creativity, and a sprinkle of kindness—because handmade gifts are the best kind! 🌈✨

Scooping Fun, Learning for Life! 💧🥄
Our little learners enjoyed scooping balls from water with a ladle and placing them onto a tray. This engaging activity strengthens hand-eye coordination, fine motor skills, concentration, and confidence—all while having lots of fun! 🌈✨

🐯⬅️➡️ “Wait… is it this way or that way?” 🤔 Our tamariki had so much fun following the arrows and placing the animals in the correct direction. Lots of laughs, thinking, and learning all in one activity! 🦒✨

🛒✨ Our little learners enjoyed a fun pretend shop play today! Some children became sellers, while others happily played the roles of buyers and customers. Through this imaginative experience, they developed communication, social skills, and confidence while having lots of smiles and fun. 🌈💛

🦖💚 Roar-some fun today! Our little dinosaur lovers explored different dinosaurs, discovered where they live and what they like to eat, then happily fed them with fresh leaves. Tiny hands, big imaginations, and lots of happy smiles made this prehistoric adventure a truly dino-mite learning experience! 🌿✨
