Diwali Celebrations At Twinkle Stars!
We had a fantastic celebration of Diwali with about 80 percent of educator and whanau participation. Everyone came dressed up in traditional attire and lovely jewellery adding to the sparkle of the festivities.
We enjoyed Diya decoration , Rangoli making and coconut laddus . Traditional dress catwalk was the highlight of celebrations . It was an event full of enthusiastic participation

We had a delightful Father's Day Celebration as part of our Monthly Playgroup this time. Lots of engaging activities like "Dress up like dad", "Home Office set Up"," Creating a card for my dear Dad " were enjoyed along with our educators , co ordinators and tamariki!
We also celebrated Parmeet's birthday together and cut a yummy cake to share. Everyone brought and shared Kai together And wrapped up the celebrations!

It was a day full of awe and wonder for our Twinkle Star tamariki and whanau as we went on a hikoi to Stardome Observatory ! The Stardome team organised group fun and games with lovely stuffed toys (Planets) and scarves and a very engaging Matariki story.
This Hikoi was also part of our collective Matariki celebrations!
We also enjoyed a very informative show inside the planetarium where "George The Astronaut " took us on a trip to the deep mysterious space! We saw how beautiful our Mother Earth is!
We also enjoyed a yummy birthday celebration and picnic afterwards!

Celebrating Mother's Day together with our mums, tamariki and educators was a special event at Twinkle Star this May!
Playing games , eating yummy kai and creating takeaway art for our mums were the highlights! Thank you community for your enthusiastic participation.

We enjoyed a Teddy Bear Picnic with our educators and children as part of our Monthly Play Group celebrations. Children brought their favorite soft toys along and enjoyed socialising together with other playmates ! Children enjoyed drawing and coloring together along with the educators. Our co ordinators held a PD on writing meaningful learning stories . Thank you our lovely educators and teachers and our beautiful children and whanau!

We celebrated Diwali with lots of joyous togetherness, funart activities and yummy Kai1 Highlight of the celebrations was our Saree Drapingtutorial for the educators who loved this opportunity to learn and enjoy this beautiful cultural dress!
Diwali is the time to remember that good vibes, happiness and cheer help spread the message of victory of good over evil always!
Enjoying these special moments with our tamariki and educators , we aim to build belongingness and cultural affirmation.

After the chilly winter months, spring is when nature resurrects and becomes more vibrant. Dormant plants reappear in the spring, when new seedlings emerge from the ground.
We had an amazing day at Twinkle Star Homebased Childcare during the Blooming Spring Season. The song and dancing are commendable on our blooming spring day, which is all about spending quality time with friends, family, and children. We had a wonderful, playful, and educational day with our tamariki, whanau, and educators. Children took part in singing, dancing, painting, and dressing up in bright clothes. When the festivities came to an end, everyone could enjoy some delicious kai together. " letting teachers, parents, and children see a peek of the "Blooming Spring Season" celebration playgroup.

Together with our whanau,,educators and tamariki, Twinkle Star Home Based Childcare celebrated Tongan Language Week /Playgroup.The Tongan language will remain sustainable when used at home, in the church, and in the larger community. ‘E tu’ a e lea faka-Tonga’ o ka lea’aki “ I api, siasi(lotu), mo e nofo -a- Kainga-is the theme for Tongan Language Week in 2024. Children participated in painting, dressing up in Tongan attire, singing, and dancing at the Tongan language celebration, which helped them learn the language and get familiar with the culture.Delicious kai was served up for everyone to enjoy together at the end of the celebrations. ‘Sharing the glimpse of Tongan language week celebration playgroup with educators ,whanau and tamariki

Our Teddy Bear Picnic day at Twinkle Star Homebased Childcare was fantastic. Teddy Bear Picnic Day commends the song "The Teddy Bears' Picnic" and is all about enjoying time with loved ones, friends, children, and a teddy. A delicious kai shared with our loved ones Teddy Bears topped off our special day. A day spent with our tamariki, whanau, and educators that was full of love, laughter, and learning.
