So far this week it was all about creativity, laughter, and a whole lot of deliciousness as we celebrated our Mother’s Day theme in style.

The kids kicked things off by making the sweetest coffee‑filter flowers — bright, colourful, and guaranteed to melt any mum’s heart. Then we took the energy outside for Noodle Tag and a bunch of other fun, fast‑paced games that had everyone giggling and racing around.

And of course… the food!
We baked a batch of savory treats that smelled so good the moment they came out of the oven. They were so tasty that, well… let’s just say most of them didn’t survive long enough to make it home to mum. Oops!

It was a joyful, creative, full‑of‑fun kind of day — exactly how we love it at Kelly Club Ashhurst. 🌸

We’re gearing up for a week full of creativity, colour, and heartfelt surprises — all inspired by the amazing mums in our lives.

The fun begins with colourful filter flowers and take‑home coasters the kids will decorate with their own flair. These little treasures are guaranteed to make someone smile.

And because no celebration is complete without something delicious…

Our busy end‑of‑week activities at Kelly Club Ashhurst were full of imagination and creativity, with Giants, Witches, sparkly bookmarks, and crazy creatures keeping everyone entertained.

📚✨ Week 3 at Kelly Club: Bonkers About Books! ✨📚

We’ve jumped headfirst into a world of stories this week — and the kids are loving it. Reading and play have teamed up, and suddenly everyone’s flicking through pages, discovering new worlds, and sparking that beautiful love for books.

The biggest hit so far?
😍 Our brand‑new KC Library!
The smiles when they spotted it… absolutely priceless.

Of course, we’re never short on action!
🧪 The kids whipped up a Giant’s Potion in cooking — a fizzy, fruity, magical mix that disappeared in seconds.
🏃‍♂️ And with all that extra energy, we played plenty of games to keep the fun rolling.

It’s been a bright, busy, book‑tastic start to the week.

ANZAC Spirit at Kelly Club 🇳🇿❤️
Our kids really embraced the ANZAC spirit this week as they coloured poppies and created beautiful poppy mosaics. They were genuinely interested in learning about our history and why ANZAC Day holds such importance for us. Their curiosity was incredible — they soaked up every bit of knowledge and asked thoughtful, enthusiastic questions throughout.

Next week we’re diving into Bonkers About Books, a celebration of stories brought to life through hands‑on fun. Kids will mix up A Giant’s Potion, race through Witches Tag, and create Crazy Characters inspired by their favourite tales. We’ll finish the week with Oh, the Places You’ll Go activities that spark imagination and adventure.

ANZAC Heroes Week 🇳🇿❤️

What an incredible week honouring our ANZAC Heroes. Our Rescue Mission game had everyone thinking strategically as they worked together to save their friends from the field — teamwork at its best.

Our ANZAC biscuits were such a hit that the kids came back for more on Wednesday and Thursday. We also created stunning poppy mosaic artworks, which will be proudly displayed in the windows of the Ashhurst Memorial RSA, along with the coloured poppy flowers our kids prepared earlier.

Throughout the week we had meaningful discussions about the significance of ANZAC Day and the important role the RSA plays in our community.

Before school, our Breakfast Club brought out plenty of creativity and fun with board games, card games, and hand ball keeping our Clubbers entertained and connected.

Join us before or after school for more fun, friendship, and hands‑on activities as we continue Term 2 with energy and heart.

Term 2 Week 1 - ANZAC HEROES

We’re kicking off Term 2 with a bang as we come together for a week full of fun activities celebrating our ANZAC heroes. Join us next week to bake delicious Anzac biscuits, take part in exciting rescue missions and army‑style team challenges, and add your own creative touch to our giant poppy mosaic. It’s also the perfect chance to catch up with friends while discovering more about our history and the heroes who shaped it.

Trip Day magic — rain and all!
Playground Hopping went off without a hitch today, even with the heavens wide open. A quick change of plans didn’t slow us down one bit. We loved meeting up with our friends from other Kelly Club venues and burning off some serious pent‑up energy. Slightly soggy… but absolutely beaming.
At the Esplanade, we explored the Aviaries, the Wildlife Centre, and the Winter Gardens — a real adventure for curious minds. And of course, the highlight everyone was waiting for… Mr Whippy arrived with well‑deserved ice creams. Oh yum.
What a memorable day out for our April Holiday Programme — wet shoes, big smiles, and memories to last. 🌧️🍦✨

🌟 Day 2 – Bollywood Fun! 🌟
OMG… What a day! We kicked things off by making our own naan, and it was so delicious that plenty of us went back for seconds. The teamwork was amazing — everyone was focused, careful, and super proud of their creations. Absolutely amazzziiing!
Then came our Bollywood dance session, which was an experience we’ll all remember. We concentrated, we laughed, and we definitely discovered we need a little more practice — but wow, did we have fun!
To burn off all that extra naan, we headed outside for cricket and hockey, and it was awesome seeing everyone play, support each other, and enjoy the sunshine.
Tomorrow is Trip Day – Playground Hopping…

🌟 Day 1 of Week Two – Fidget Frenzy! 🌟
We kicked off the day with delicious fidget‑spinner‑shaped cookies, filling the room with colour (and amazing smells!). While they baked, the kids took on our Tower Deconstruction Challenge — complete with a blindfold round that had everyone in stitches.
We crafted our own fidget spinners and explored momentum, self‑control, and teamwork through relay activities. Hula Hoop Twister and our Fidget Spinner Exercise Decider were huge hits, helping us burn off the cookies and the tasty Fidget Pizzas we made and devoured.
What a full, fantastic day of creativity, movement, and fun.
