Another proud moment. Our school and many others were involved in the Ashburton Music Festival. What a wonderful event this was for all involved.
A big well done to the children involved and the teachers who made this happen.

We are very proud of Max who represented our school at the Canterbury Cross Country.
Max came in at 44th and was surprised and the sprint at that beginning which he was not expecting. He now has a goal for next year and that is to train to sprint at the beginning, pace himself throughout the race and then sprint at the end. Wonderful effort Max!

Tui 3 visited the art gallery to learn about Matariki and to create their own waka that represent who they are and what makes them unique. What a fantastic job they did.

Philippines Independence Day is also known as the Day of Freedom. This day is an important time in Philippines history. This special day commemorates the declaration of Philippine Independence from Spain in 1898, and freedom from colonial rule. Philippines Independence Day holds an important place in the hearts of all Filipinos and is celebrated every 12th of June with parades and ceremonies and a national holiday back in the Philippines.
A big thanks to the Arts and Culture Team who, with the help of Mrs McCallum prepared this ceremony.

Today it was the year 7 & 8s competing in the house basketball competition. Looking forward to the finals on Friday!

Huge congratulations to our students who received their First Holy Communion this morning. We are incredibly proud of their dedication and reverence as they took this special step closer to Jesus. May God’s blessings and love be with them always!
