Saturdays FUNdraising event ๐ฉโ๐พ๐ฎ๐
On Saturday our tamariki took their role play & imagination to the next level with a visit to a local farm ๐ฉโ๐พ๐ฎ๐
All their practice digging in the sandpit was put to use as they assisted Farmer Will in planting 200 natives ๐ช๐ฑ๐ชฑ
Getting dirt under their nails and soil between their toes, the kiddos had no idea all their mahi was actually earning money for our centre ๐ฐ
What a wholesome way to spend a sunny Saturday afternoon, with their efforts being rewarded with a sausage sizzle picnic & play on the hay bales ๐
Well done tamariki ๐
Thank you Dairy Holdings

In remembrance of ANZAC the tamariki made the most of our craft table to create their own poppies.
A range of red textures were used, with each tamaiti chosing how they wanted to decorate. From paint, felt, bottle tops, paper to pipe cleaners this activity showed how everyone visualises different ideas.
In 1941, as Aotearoa prepared to remember the men who went to war, a group of mothers in Karori, Wellington, did something quietly extraordinary.
Born of necessity, they created a place where parents and tamariki could learn together, that would quietly outlast the war and grow across Aotearoa.
Eighty-five years later, weโre still here, and still playing, learning, and growing together โ one of the most enduring ideas in New Zealandโs history.
