Just three days until opening night! And it's time to introduce our final talented cast member.
Callum Tait is playing the part of Ed Boone. 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time' will be his fifth production with Big Little Theatre Company, and he is looking forward to it. He is a year 12 student at Ashburton College and enjoys playing piano and hockey, as well as, of course, drama. He has just been nominated for direct entry to the National Shakespeare School Production, taking place in Wellington later this year. Callum has enjoyed the challenge of this play and looks forward to seeing you there.

Don't let the fact that they are mostly teenagers fool you. The cast of 'Curious Incident' includes many highly experienced actors, including people who have gained distinction in Trinity College of London exams, placed in the National Young Performers competition, and performed in many plays in Ashburton and Christchurch.
Many of the cast are long-standing members of BLTC and have performed together for a long time. BLTC really is a whānau, and this is part of what enables the impressively tight ensemble work you will see.
Here's a throwback to some of our actors performing in Twelfth Night 7 years ago. They appear somewhat shorter than when they were pictured in dress rehearsals last week!

Oakleigh Haywood plays the role of Siobhan. They are a student at Ao Tawhiti Unlimited Discovery and are currently preparing to direct 'Godot is a Woman' at school. They have been doing theatre since they were 6 (BLTC ignited that passion) and they have performed with a range of theatre companies including Hwyl Theatre, Top Dog Theatre, Canterbury Youth Theatre, and Riccarton Players. This is their sixth show with the Big Little Theatre Company and they have enjoyed every moment of it.
