Our Allenton School Fun Run fundraiser has launched. Please head to https://allentonschoolfunrun.raiseit.co.nz/ or scan the QR code to sign up for a fundraising profile for your child(ren). We are raising funds to go towards purchasing new sports uniforms and tracksuits for students to wear when representing Allenton School. These new uniforms will help ensure our students are well-equipped and ready to proudly represent our school.

We have partnered with Go Raise It to run our fundraising platform and we have some great prizes up for grabs – further details on the fundraising website. Thanks for your support!

The Fun Run is on Tuesday 22 September at 1:30pm, with a postponement date of Thursday 24 September.

🇵🇭 Kumusta! This past week we have recognised Filipino Language Week. Today our Filipino students wore their cultural clothing to school. They looked wonderful and showed much pride in their culture. Magaling - well done! 🇵🇭

Here's a Ministry of Education website that parents and whānau can use to support their child's journey with maths. It's designed for students in Years 3 - 8 and has lots of activities that children can work through either individually or with the support of an adult. Start with the year group below your child's current year to consolidate prior learning before looking at the current year. You can use a lower year level for quick, rapid practice as well.

Our new accessible playground has been completed and is open for use! Year groups have been timetabled at break times to manage the high demand. Many thanks to the Lotteries Grants Board for their tremendous funding support for this project. It looks amazing and is bringing lots of fun and joy for our tamariki!

Last Friday was the Mid Canterbury Schools Winter Tournament. Our teams have been preparing for the day over many Friday afternoons at school. We are grateful to the parents, community and staff who coached or managed our teams. Well done to all competitors and especially to the rugby, netball and hockey teams that qualified for the Canterbury Schools' tournament later in the term. Our football team also had some convincing wins earlier in the tournament, and narrowly lost their quarter final. If parents / supporters have any more photos from any of the teams, please email them to [email protected] and we will be able to share a selection of these as well!
