Saving the best for last… meet Juliet!

Juliet is our amazing break cover and a valued member of our classroom support team. She has been part of Oakfields since the very beginning, and before that, she was a special part of the Little Oaks whānau just down the road.

Juliet brings a wonderful mix of stories, knowledge, and laughter to our centre. The tamariki absolutely love spending time with her especially enjoying the cool books and engaging board stories she shares. You’ll often find Juliet alongside the tamariki, drawing, colouring, and creating together.

Outside of the centre, Juliet loves spending time in her garden, you might even spot her there during the Hurunui Garden Festival!
She also enjoys going for walks, reading, and knitting, as well as sharing special outings to the movies with her 96-year-old mother.

Meet Abs – Our Oakleaf Superstar!

Say hello to Abs, our wonderful teacher in the Oakleaf Room! Abs is a bubbly, energetic presence who brings joy and laughter wherever she goes. The children absolutely adore her — they say she gives the best cuddles and always knows how to make them giggle!

With her warm heart and playful spirit, Abs creates a classroom full of fun, kindness, and adventure. This is shown in her attire as you can often find her sporting a colourful pair of crocs. When she’s not busy inspiring little minds, you’ll find her spending quality time with her friends and family, out running and enjoys taking photos!

We’re so lucky to have Abs as part of our team — life in Oakleaf is brighter with her in it!

Say hello to Nicole!
Nicole is our wonderful team leader in the Oakleaf room, supporting our tamariki aged 2 to 3½. She’s full of life, funny and if you were to ask the children they would say “she makes me laugh!”

You can count on Nicole to brighten any day. Her warmth, kindness, and ability to light up a room make her such a special part of our Oakfields whānau.

We absolutely adore having Nicole on our team she truly is a gem. In Nicole’s spare time she enjoys going 4wd at the beach/river, enjoys the company of her friends and family. You may even see her at Woodford Glen supporting her husband.

Meet Alex!
Alex is one of our wonderful kaiako here at Oakfields. You will see Alex currently working across all of our three classrooms.

Alex has a fun easy going nature and brings her love for music and dance into the classrooms. You can always count on Alex to bring a spark of laughter and positivity, thanks to her bubbly personality! Alex is our go to spelling expert — no matter the word, she spells it flawlessly and without hesitation.

We love having Alex apart of our whānau not just for spell check but also the joy and love she brings! 💝
Alex loves to bake, hang out with her family and take her dog Cassie for a walk during her spare time!

Introducing Row! Row has been a valued part of the Little Oaks whānau for the past ten years, beginning her journey as a parent before stepping into her role as a teaching assistant.

You’ll find Row working across all three classrooms, where she brings her bubbly, kind, and caring personality to the team each day. Row is wonderfully creative and is always dreaming up new ideas and fun, engaging activities for the tamariki to enjoy 👩‍🎨

Outside of preschool life, Row enjoys gardening and caring for her very own willowbank. She loves attending concerts, capturing moments through photography, and spending her time running around after her children 🫶🏻

Introducing Maddie! Maddie works in our Acorns room, where her fun loving spirit, gentle heart, and endless kindness shine everyday.

She brings so much love, laughter, and care to our tamariki, helping them feel safe, happy, and excited to come to preschool.

We’re so lucky to have Maddie as part of our Oakfields whanau! Maddie loves to go to the gym, hang out with friends and enjoys karate in her spare time 💕

Meet Fiona, Fiona is one of our centre leaders her at Oakfields as well as the Acorns room team leader.

Fiona is fun, lovable, always bursting with energy and is sharing new songs with us. She brings so much warmth and joy into our days, and her big cuddles are a firm favourite with the children.

We just adore the happiness she spreads wherever she goes! In Fiona’s spare time she likes to spend time with her little dog Rodger and spending time with family and friends as well as trying new creative activities! 🥰

Meet Jane, Jane has been apart of the family for a very long time as Jane started off at Little Oaks as a parent and since has moved into her role as one of our centre leaders here at Oakfields and LittleOaks Montessori.

You will often see Jane’s friendly face at the front desk as you come in, ready to welcome you into the centre. We don’t know where we would be without Jane, she keeps the centre in good nick!

In Jane’s spare time she loves to be with her family and friends, enjoying sports and exploring New Zealand.
Jane is the heart of the centre and we love having her here 🫶🏻

Meet Nicola, Nicola is primary trained and has been working alongside Pj in the Oaktree room since 2024.

Nicola brings a wealth of knowledge and lots of passion towards school readiness including expanding the children’s knowledge around literacy and numeracy. Nicola is fun and energetic, the tamariki love mat times, dancing and learning with her.

In Nicola’s spare time she enjoys gardening and being in nature with the quietness, along with reading in her special chair.
We love having Nicola here with us at Oakfields 🫶🏻
