Collaging, creating & building literacy skills! ✂️📚✨

Our children took literacy learning outdoors, using collage materials to create, explore and express their ideas. As they selected, arranged and talked about their creations, they were developing vocabulary, communication, fine-motor skills and early literacy concepts — all through meaningful, hands-on play! 🌿💛

Learning happens everywhere when we make space for children to explore, create and share their ideas.

Our children are proudly discovering and sharing their culture, family traditions, and home languages. It is beautiful to see their confidence grow as they say, “This is my culture!” and teach their friends words from home.

Meet Teacher Tamsin, one of the wonderful educators at City Impact Church Childcare.
Tamsin is passionate about creating a Christ-centered environment where every child feels known, valued, and loved.

There’s something so special about hearing children retell the story of Noah’s Ark in their own words. As they recall the events, they’re strengthening their memory, language, sequencing, and confidence while growing in their understanding of God’s love and faithfulness.
