Kristin is an independent co-educational school of approximately 1700 students and is located in Albany, Auckland.

Catering to students from Kindergarten to Year 13, Kristin School was founded in 1973 by a small group of North Shore parents and is owned by the Kristin School Charitable Trust. A community based school, Kristin holds true to its philosophy of progress with integrity, vision and love. The relationships formed through the school are valued by our whole community. It is because of this that the Kri

With our Alumni numbers growing each year and past students making their mark around the globe, there has never been a better time to reconnect with friends from years gone by. Kristin Alumni reunions are held regularly throughout New Zealand and around the world. Alumni are also regularly featured on the Kristin School website and Kaleidoscope magazine so we are always keen to hear from you and we encourage you to keep in touch. We are singing the praises of Euphony! On the cusp of their 30th anniversary, our fantastic female choir has struck the winning chord, taking home Gold at the coveted National Final of the Big Sing! Founded in 1997, our longest-running cultural group is ending the season on a high note, so let’s celebrate with a look back at Euphony’s 30-year journey.

Are you a current Year 13 student who intends to pursue tertiary study or training in the Performing Arts? Or are you a recent Kristin graduate who needs a boost in achieving your Performing Arts career goals? Why not consider applying for the 2026 Jenny Brown Memorial Scholarship!

Jenny Brown was a founding member of the Kristin community and a passionate supporter of the Arts. Through her Will, she generously left a bequest to Kristin to support current and former Kristin students who are pursuing their dreams and careers in the Performing Arts.

Whether it be in music, theatre, drama, dance or any other discipline related to performance, Year 13 students have the opportunity to apply for a scholarship of up to $2,500. The alumni scholarship is available to one recent graduate for up to $5000. NZ Music Month may be over for another year, but we are excited to profile one more incredible Kristin artist.

Operatic Soprano Christina Orjis (Class of 2009) is holding a fundraising concert at Auckland Opera Studio to help her achieve her dream of performing in her professional debut role as ‘Ortlinde’ in the opera “Die Walküre”, directed by Sir John Tomlinson, in London.
