Wainui Park is a great venue for schools, community groups and corporate groups. YMCA Wainui Park can provide a program for nearly all groups, from school age and over. Our instructional team are trained facilitators of groups who share a passion for the outdoors and working with young people. We offer activities such as: kayaking, high ropes, coasteering, archery, raft building, outdoor living skills, search and rescue, orienteering, campfire, snorkeling, tramping, low ropes, etc.

YMCA Wainui Park is owned and operated by the Christchurch YMCA, a not-for-profit charitable trust committed to building strong young people, strong families, and strong communities. Our focus is on personal development. At Wainui we do this largely via positive outdoor education experiences, and with a conscious effort to encourage our campers to think about how they impact other people, the environment, and the community in general.
