We are so proud of Alia, Nasi and Josh for representing Duvauchelle School so positively and proudly at last week's Lincoln Zone Cross Country event and super grateful to Cindy and Adele for doing the mahi!

And ... another awesome (Winter) Camp is done!
A huge thank you to Liz, Graeme, Fran, Cornelia, Rosie, Nick, Tash, and Mikayla for making this wonderful experience possible for all of our Year 4-6 tamariki.
Also a big shout out to Hanmer Springs Forest Camp, Rusty Carrot Catering, Activity Hanmer and the Hanmer Thermal Pools for their efforts to make this a camp our students will remember!

Duvauchelle School is very proud and privileged to be a part of the French Farm ANZAC Dawn Service each year.
From the sound of the waves gently lapping on the shore, the face, hands, and toes numbing cold, the haunting sounds of the bagpipe to open the Service, the cracking of the rifles echoing around the Bays, to the whiskey and ANZAC biscuits afterwards, and then the chance to be kids exploring as the sun comes up, this Service is truly magic every year, and one we will forever be grateful to be a part of.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Duvauchelle School wishes everyone a very happy Easter break, along with high hopes for a great two week break from school and routines.
What a lovely end of term celebration today!
Our Swimming Showcase was wonderful, we farewelled two awesome staff members today and welcomed two new staff.
A friendly reminder - clocks go back one hour at 3am on Sunday 5 April. That means the Easter Bunny gets an extra hour in bed. YAY!

Shout out too, to all the cherubs who had a blast playing together so well for two hours, and helping out every now and then.

Another awesome "BP Maths is Fun Day" today. They just get better every year. Thank you, Okains Bay School and Little River School, for joining in the fun and learning with us today. 😍

Teacher Aide position available

We have an awesome Y4 student, who is loved beyond measure at DPS, who needs additional support to access the curriculum, so we are looking for an amazing superstar to work with him.
The role is Monday to Friday between 9am and 3pm (30 hours per week - term time only).
We would prefer someone who could commit to the 30 hours, just to provide him with consistency and continuity. We may be able to offer a job share (2days/3days rotating each fortnight), but this would not be our ideal option.
Remuneration will depend on the skills offered, however, experience is not essential. It is more about the type of person you are and how you fit with the child concerned, their family and our team. Training and courses will be offered, together with working alongside specialist teachers, who can support and guide both your learning and his.
