🏫 एउटा स्थानीय विद्यालयको लुकेको आम्दानी

यसलाई एउटा व्यावहारिक र दैनिक जीवनको उदाहरणबाट बुझौं: करिब १,९०० नियमित विद्यार्थी भएको एउटा विद्यालय।

रफ काम गर्दा, गल्ती हुँदा वा कापीका पाना च्यात्दा कति धेरै कागज फालिन्छ होला, एकपटक सोच्नुहोस् त। यदि हामीले प्रति विद्यार्थी दैनिक २ पाना मात्र खेर जान्छ भनेर एकदमै सामान्य अनुमान गर्यौं भने पनि, यो संख्या आश्चर्यजनक रूपमा बढ्छ। १८० दिनको शैक्षिक सत्र र तीनवटा परीक्षा अवधिलाई जोड्ने हो भने, ती पानाहरू मिलेर करिब ८७७.८ किलोग्राम कागजको फोहोर बन्छ।

यदि त्यो कागजलाई उही डस्टबिनमा फालियो जहाँ खाएर बाँकी रहेको जैविक फोहोर (organic waste) फालिन्छ भने, त्यो कागज पूर्ण रूपमा बिग्रिन्छ। त्यसपछि विद्यालयले त्यसलाई ल्यान्डफिल (डम्पिङ साइट) मा पठाउन उल्टै पैसा तिर्नुपर्छ।

तर यदि विद्यालयले प्रत्येक कक्षाकोठामा "कागज मात्र" (Paper Only) लेखिएको डस्टबिन राखिदिने हो भने के होला? त्यो झन्डै ९०० किलो सफा र सुक्खा कागज बिक्री योग्य वस्तु बन्छ। प्रतिकिलो रु. १० को सामान्य कबाडी दरमा हिसाब गर्दा पनि, विद्यालयले आफ्नो फोहोरलाई व्यवस्थित गरेरै वर्षमा बिना कुनै मिहिनेत करिब रु. ८,७७८ कमाउन सक्छ।
