The core of the Earth is the innermost layer of our planet. It lies beneath the mantle and is about 2,900 kilometers below the Earth's surface. The Earth's core is extremely hot and mainly made of iron and nickel.

The core is divided into two parts:

Outer Core – The outer core is a liquid layer made mostly of molten iron and nickel. It surrounds the inner core and is about 2,200 kilometers thick. The movement of liquid metal in the outer core helps create the Earth’s magnetic field, which protects our planet from harmful solar radiation.

Inner Core – The inner core is the very center of the Earth. It is solid due to extremely high pressure, even though the temperature can reach about 5,000–6,000°C, which is almost as hot as the surface of the Sun.

Importance of the Core:
The Earth's core plays a vital role in generating the magnetic field, which helps protect life on Earth and keeps our atmosphere stable.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, the Earth's core is a very hot and dense layer made mostly of iron and nickel. It is divided into the liquid outer core and the solid inner core, both of which are important for the Earth's magnetic field and the stability of our planet.
