Ceremony for Signing the Letter of Agreement (LOA) on Evidence-Based Policy Research on Federalism in Nepal between UNDP Nepal and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Pokhara University
This collaboration offers an exciting opportunity to establish the Policy Lab at the University, nurture a new generation of young researchers and policy practitioners, strengthen research-to-policy linkages, and produce practical knowledge that supports research-driven policymaking and development in Nepal. I extend my deepest appreciation to Ms Kyoko Yokosuka, the Resident Representative of UNDP Nepal, for her confidence in our institution and for selecting us as a partner in this important initiative.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to our esteemed Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Bishnu Raj Tiwari, and Registrar, Prof. Hari Bahadur Khadka, for their continuous encouragement and support in this collaboration. We are equally grateful to the Provincial and Local Governance Strengthening Programme (PLGSP) Gandaki Province team and the UNDP Nepal team, especially Ms Sewa Shrestha, Mr Bikash Ranjan Dash, Mr Sudip Aryal and Ms Pragati Bhattarai, for their collaborative engagement and dedication in shaping this partnership. I would also like to acknowledge the significant role of the former Dean of the Faculty, Dr Surendra Tiwari, and Dr Arjun Kumar Thapa throughout from the beginning until now.
I express my heartfelt appreciation to all distinguished guests for honouring us with your valuable presence at this event. Your participation has greatly enhanced the value and significance of this ceremony.
