Celebrating World Space Week 2024, Gandaki Innovation Club (GIC) in collaboration with Nepal Astronomical Society (NASO) is organizing some district-level competitions for the students of Kaski district. This is an exciting opportunity for all astro-enthusiasts to showcase your talent.

This is an open competition for all interested students. Further details along with the rules will be followed soon in the coming posts.

The form for submission will be opened on October 4 and the deadline for submission is October 10.

International Christian University (ICU) and the Japan ICU Foundation are conducting an online Global Youth Essay Competition for students from all nationalities to express their ideas on how to improve society. Applicants have to select one of the two questions given by the host organisation and write an essay of 650 words to answer it. The goal of ICU essay contest is to raise students who will advocate global peace.

Pi day program was a huge success and we would like to thank whole GBS family for their support and ccordination. About 200 students participated in this program and some are able to get good positions. We would like to congratulate all mathematicians for their achievement. Keep it up Gandakians!!

On the occasion of Pi Day, Gandaki Innovation Club organized a small math competition at GBS. Students from classes 4-6, 7-8, and 9-12 participated in the event. This grand endeavor was a huge success! A big thank you to everyone involved for their invaluable support.

The said workshop will take place early next year, with hands-on experience of robotics for all the participants. The workshop will be open for all interested.

With our Astrophysics 101 Crash Course about to come to an end, we want to bring it to everyone’s attention that all of our lectures of each day have been uploaded to the YouTube channel of GIC, which can be visited via the link below, and all the study materials, notes, reference videos, extra materials and practice problems have been and are being uploaded to our Google Classroom, the link of which has also been provided below.

An examination will take place on Monday for anyone willing to put their knowledge to the test, and absentees of any day are advised to cover up for their missed portions following the videos and materials provided to you. We have tried to not leave any stone unturned in making everything convenient and accessible to you all so please make full use of the resources!

The Google Classroom is open to be joined by any non-Gandakians who might be interested in astrophysics.
