BRIDGING THEORY & PRACTICE: Survey Camp 2083 Successfully Concluded!
The Survey Camp 2083 was conducted from Jestha 11 to Jestha 21, 2083, at MARS Nepal, Bungmati, Lalitpur. The camp was organized with the objective of providing students with practical knowledge and hands-on experience in modern surveying techniques and field practices. A total of 90 participants attended the camp, comprising 80 students, 7 supervisors, and 3 support staff members.
The objectives of the camp were to familiarize students with various surveying methods, principles, and field techniques; provide practical training in the operation and application of surveying instruments, including the Auto Level, Total Station, UAV (Drone), and DGPS; develop students’ problem-solving and decision-making skills in real field conditions; enhance teamwork, cooperation, leadership, and professional work ethics among students; and bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical implementation in surveying and geomatics engineering.

Elevating Engineering Education: Er. Abhinesh Khatri Completes Advanced BIM Training
In a continued commitment to bringing cutting-edge industry practices into the classroom, Er. Abhinesh Khatri, Senior Lecturer in the Civil Engineering Department at Kantipur Engineering College (KEC), recently completed an intensive four-day training program on Building Information Modeling (BIM) for Structural Engineers.

The specialized workshop, held from May 21–24, 2026, at the Himalaya College of Engineering in Lalitpur, was collaboratively organized by the Structural Engineers Association Nepal (SEAnep) and the Nepal BIM Forum (NBIMF).

By emphasizing the exactness of accurate 3D modeling and the necessity of interdisciplinary collaboration, the program highlighted the critical role of BIM in modern civil engineering. Er. Khatri's participation in this advanced training ensures that Kantipur Engineering College continues to align its curriculum with the latest technological advancements in the global construction industry.
