Making Better Products by KEC Computer Club
The session “Making Better Products,” hosted by the Leapfrog Student Partnership Program and Computer Club, successfully concluded on 12 August 2026 at Kantipur Engineering College. Led by mentors Aayusha Shrestha and Aashutosh Dhungana, the session focused on the fundamentals of product management and the strategic ex*****on required to deliver impactful solutions. Participants (Computer Engineering students from first and second year) explored the core principles of building the right product by managing the development life cycle effectively and ensuring alignment with user needs.
A central theme of the session was learning how to transform high ambiguity into clear, actionable requirements. The mentors guided students through methodologies designed to unpack complex problems and structure them into defined technical goals. Participants were also introduced to the concept of story points, a relative estimation technique used to assess the effort, complexity, and uncertainty involved in completing a task. The Fibonacci sequence was used for assigning story point values, helping teams distinguish between tasks with varying levels of complexity.
The highlights of the session were the highly interactive brainstorming games. These collaborative exercises challenged participants to apply problem-solving frameworks in real time, effectively bridging the gap between theoretical product concepts and practical clarity. By the end of the session, students gained a foundational understanding of product strategy and the analytical tools needed to refine product requirements.
Thankyou KEC Computer Club for keeping students engaged.
