π‘β¨ Learning Beyond the Classroom!
Our Class 1 students discovered that learning can happen through real-life experiences, conversations, and connections with the people around us. As part of their neighborhood visit, they spent time with two families in their local community, visiting one family each day and getting a glimpse into their everyday lives.
Through these visits, students learned how families can be different from the number of people in a household to their names, jobs, responsibilities, and roles. They developed a deeper understanding of families, communities, relationships, and the different ways people contribute to everyday life.
The experience also gave them opportunities to listen, ask questions, share experiences, and learn from others in a warm and welcoming environment. π
Most importantly, it helped students see their own neighborhood as a place full of stories, people, and learning opportunities.
A beautiful reminder that learning isn't limited to the classroom it happens wherever we connect, explore, and experience the world around us.π±
