From academia and policy research to strategic affairs and regional security, Dr. 𝐏𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐝 𝐉𝐚𝐢𝐬𝐰𝐚𝐥 has built a career around understanding South Asia and China.

He serves as Research Director at the Nepal Institute for International Cooperation and Engagement and has taught, researched and lectured across institutions in Asia, Europe and the United States. His published work includes around two dozen books on China and South Asian affairs.

He will be part of BoBC 2026 in Dhaka, taking place from 3 to 5 October.
