Over the last two weeks, our Year 10 psychologists became real psychologists, observing students in primary school using their research methods skills. From Year 1 to Year 5, they explored stages of development through Piaget’s theory and gained a deeper understanding of how children learn in real classroom settings.

The Early Years children enjoyed an exciting visit to Pulchowk Fire Station. They met a firefighter dressed in full uniform and learned about his important role in helping to keep the community safe. The children were fascinated to see some of the specialised equipment and tools used by firefighters and enjoyed learning about how they are used in emergencies. A highlight of the visit was sitting inside the cab of a fire engine and hearing the fire siren sound. It was a memorable experience that we are sure that the children will remember for a long time!

Pride Week was a colourful celebration of diversity, inclusion and belonging across the whole school. Through assemblies, dress-up days, creative activities, fundraising and community events, students embraced the opportunity to express themselves, support one another and celebrate what makes each person unique. Thank you to everyone who helped make the week such a joyful and meaningful success.

Year 9 have just completed their incredible self-portraits inspired by the expressive work of Frank Auerbach. Using charcoal reduction techniques, students explored tone, texture and mark-making to create powerful and atmospheric portraits full of depth and character. An outstanding effort from everyone involved!
