Graduate Profile - Harry Greig
As a Lindisfarne College, New Zealand, Hastings alumni, Harry joined our Hospitality Management programme in 2013. After graduating from Queenstown Resort College (QRC) he decided to further his education by completing a Bachelor’s degree in Switzerland.
Harry has over 10 years’ experience working in renown international hotels and resorts and is currently based in Sofitel Bangkok where he holds the position of Accor Communications Manager - Upper Southeast Asia, Northeast Asia & The Maldives
His current role keeps him busy managing the communications for close to 200 of Accor’s hotels and resorts in the Upper Southeast & Northeast Asia region.
As the Area Manager his communications team is responsible for preparing announcements for new hotel signings or openings, supporting properties with their PR campaigns, and working on various projects to generate media coverage.
Typically, he loves the diversity of the role and the opportunity to travel regularly throughout the region to visit Accor properties in Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar and the Maldives.
During his time at QRC he learnt the importance of being an effective leader within a team, to work efficiently but most importantly to enjoy what you do.
