The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has announced a mandatory requirement regarding academic documents for student visa applications.

🔴 Key Update:
Graduation Certificate is now COMPULSORY if more than 1 year has passed since graduation.
Provisional Certificate will NOT be accepted after one year.

Within 1 year of graduation, provisional certificates may be accepted based on issuance date.

📅 Effective From: May 11, 2026

📌 Applicants must submit:
✔️ Consular verified academic documents
✔️ Valid graduation certificate (as per eligibility)

⚠️ Important Warning:
Submission of forged or altered documents may result in a minimum 3-year visa ban.

📢 Important Notice – Korean Embassy (Kathmandu)

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has issued an important notice regarding Consular Verification (appointment and document submission).

Key points for all applicants:
🚫 No parking available near the embassy. Applicants are requested to use public transportation. Parking vehicles or motorcycles on the road is strictly prohibited.

⏰ Do not line up early in the morning. Applicants are only allowed to enter the embassy from 9:20 AM.

⚠️ Applicants who create inconvenience by illegal parking or waiting in long lines early in the morning may face restrictions from embassy services, including appointment or document submission.
