The Department of Mental Health Nursing, College of Nursing Sciences, Dayananda Sagar University, organized a meaningful community outreach program on 9th October 2025 at Aareike Old Age Home, Kaggalipura, Bengaluru, in observance of World Alzheimer’s Day. This initiative was designed to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease among the elderly and their caregivers.
During the visit, V Semester B.Sc. Nursing students actively engaged with the residents by presenting informative posters on Alzheimer’s disease and conducting interactive memory games to promote cognitive stimulation. The students also screened the elderly for hypertension and provided personalized health guidance. Additionally, educational pamphlets were distributed to enhance understanding of Alzheimer’s and encourage proactive care.
This program offered students an invaluable opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a real-world community setting, while fostering empathy, communication skills, and practical expertise in elderly care. Such initiatives at DSU underscore our commitment to holistic nursing education and promoting mental health and well-being in the community.

Dayananda Sagar University celebrates the remarkable achievement of Bhavya Unnikrishnan, a student of the Executive MBA program, whose capstone project on “Modernizing EDI Services through API and Event-Driven Integration” has been approved for MVP implementation at Siemens. Supported by DSU’s expert faculty and guided by the practical insights of the Executive MBA curriculum, Bhavya successfully translated classroom learnings into real-world business impact.
Her initiative addresses long-standing challenges in EDI modernization and aligns with Siemens’ One Tech Company vision, reusable code strategies, and API-focused approach. Entrusted with dual responsibilities as Product Manager and Product Owner, Bhavya’s journey exemplifies DSU’s commitment to nurturing industry-ready leaders capable of driving innovation and operational excellence.

Dayananda Sagar University proudly participated in the prestigious ARAI-AMTIF | Navigyaan, Startup & Innovation Conclave 2025, held in Pune on 11th October 2025.
Our Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. B. S. Satyanarayana, graced the event, which brought together leaders from academia, industry, and innovation ecosystems to foster entrepreneurship, technology transfer, and collaborative innovation.
Representing Atal Incubation Centre, DSU (AIC-DSU), Mr. Vinod Shankar also actively contributed to the conclave. As part of DSU’s participation, a dedicated innovation stall showcased our university’s key startup initiatives, incubation activities, and technology-driven projects.
An MoU exchange during the conclave marked yet another milestone in DSU’s ongoing journey toward innovation-driven growth, research excellence, and strategic partnerships.

Dayananda Sagar University’s School of Health Sciences is proud to announce that it has received financial assistance of ₹5 lakhs from DBT-CTEP (DBT/CTEP/01/20250956967) to support the International Conference on Translational and Technological Advances in Health Sciences (ICTAHS-2025), taking place from 13th to 15th November 2025.
This significant funding underscores DSU’s commitment to fostering cutting-edge research, promoting interdisciplinary collaboration, and advancing innovations in health sciences. ICTAHS-2025 will provide a premier platform for researchers, academicians, and industry experts to share insights, explore translational applications, and drive meaningful advancements in biomedical and health science domains.

At Dayananda Sagar University, education goes beyond classrooms, it’s about nurturing responsible citizens who contribute to a cleaner and healthier nation. In alignment with the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, the Department of Computer Science and Engineering (Data Science), School of Engineering, organized a Cleanliness Drive on 18th September 2025 at the Arena, DSU Campus, under the guidance of Dr. Shaila S. G., Professor & Chairperson (DS), and coordinated by the department faculty.
The initiative encouraged active participation in cleaning, waste segregation, and recycling, promoting civic responsibility and environmental awareness. This Cleanliness Drive reflected DSU’s commitment to social responsibility, sustainability, and the national mission of a Swachh Bharat.

At Dayananda Sagar University, the Department of CSE, School of Engineering, celebrated Engineers’ Day 2025 with great enthusiasm. The event highlighted India’s ancient engineering marvels and the vital role of engineers in shaping society.
Dr. Girisha G S and Dr. Basavaraj N. Hiremath inspired students with their insights on innovation, technological advancements, and sustainable growth. Faculty shared heartfelt messages, motivating students to pursue excellence, while fun activities like Technical Dumb Charades, Pictionary, and Logo Guessing fostered creativity and teamwork. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, making Engineers’ Day 2025 a truly memorable experience at DSU.

We were honoured to host our Chief Guest, Mr. M. S. Srinivasan (Former Group Director, Power Systems Group, URSC–ISRO) and Guest of Honour, Mr. M. Venkata Rao (Former Project Director – IRS Satellite Programme, URSC–ISRO), whose insights inspired every participant.
