The center is dedicated to the cause of research studies in Art, with a special interest in the meta He passed away on Oct. 22nd, 1971.
TBC (ते. बा. चि) Studies Centre – is an initiative begun in memory of late Artist Tej Bahadur Chitrakar, born to ShivaDas and AshaMati Chitrakar as their fourth child on Oct. 25th, 1898. He is one of the earliest and the most important post-medieval Nepali painters of all times who ushered Nepali Painting into a new and a modern era. Here's the depiction of mythical lions. Such creatures have had remained an integral part of Nepali Art, since ages. Moreover, in 3d forms, it's omnipresent in every religious shrines in Nepal.
Here the artist is found extremely inspired from these medieval forms and accordingly has tried to express in own imagination.
