We are sorry for all genuine Nepali students whose Australian student visa applications have been refused. With the current visa grant rate reportedly around 14%, many have lost the AUD 2,000 visa application fee and other related expenses.
Our advice: Apply only if you believe you are among the strongest applicants. Otherwise, don't risk paying the non-refundable AUD 2,500 visa application fee when many applications are refused without applicants receiving clear, individualized reasons.
The Government of Nepal should encourage greater transparency and fairness in Australia's student visa decision-making process for Nepali applicants. With the visa grant rate reportedly so low, many genuine students are losing significant time and money. Until the process becomes more transparent and predictable, prospective students should carefully consider the risks before applying.
