Babylon National School, excellence in education, is located in a quiet and silent site beyond the din at Shantinagar, Kathmandu, Nepal. Aims, Objectives And Activities
The academy does have an ideal aim and an objective to impart our students’ quality education. But quality education is measured only and entirely depending on the fair and flair provision of decently planned pedagogic weapons. Such weapons are virtual teaching-learning activities assigned straight to the students for the active participation in ‘Learning by doing’ and ‘Seeing is believing’ activities, which the school ensures. The concept of ‘reading is leading and leading is breeding’ is always in the fore for surging out the creative fervor in students. The school has multi-fold branches to boost students into the avenues of creativity and collection endeavors. Library, Computers and Science Lab, inherit books, materials, papers, computers and bio-physic-chemical assets to ensure for the theoretic-practical learning. Opulent computer hall inherits 24 computers with the references under this subject. It is meant to facilitate students with the latest information and computer programs. School Library has hundreds of books, references, magazines, papers and reviews to ease for both intensive and extensive study. The library is well-furnished and abundantly stacked. Language activities include the social magazine publication bimonthly entitled ‘Drishtanta; a bilingual students centred magazine that broadcasts students’ articles. Additionally, students articles on the national dailies have thickened their lingual skills. ECAs and sports, on the other hand, have also boosted their physical and intellectual energy. Scouts and its faculties such as Monkey-crawl, Camping, Still-walking, Rock climbing, Trekking, Boating, Cooking, Handicraft and Kitchen craft, Archery, Volunteering and Leadership training have been running to dynamics and make more agile their lives. Community visits, tours, treks, excursion, field trips and picnic are also launching. Scholarship
The school has the provision for scholarship as partial, terminal and annual for the economically poor, but genius, intelligent and distinction holding students. Curriculum and Evaluation
Keeping abreast the UNESCO and Nepal’s Curriculum Spirits, the school has adopted the fundamental courses to harness knowledge, behavioral skills and concepts in students. Teaching-learning activities, follow of courses and all other assessments have been within the school curriculum prescribed by Nepal Government. The pedagogy is relevant and contextual. Through Unit Test, Cumulative record, Term and Annual Exams, vacation home/class assignments their records, rectifications and revisions have ascertained and strengthened the evaluation and feedback. Eligibility for Admission/Registration
Students willing to get admission shall participate on an hour EPT (Entry Proficiency Test) in each subject namely, English, Maths, Science and Nepali from Grade III onward. The medium test shall be both written and oral. The concerned guardians/applicants must produce character certificate, original mark sheets or date of birth certificate (beginners). The age span for nursery is 3 years, 4-6 years for Kgs and accordingly. The eligibility be viewed on the merit of the test, previous records, personal traits, motivation discipline, maturity, age, creativity, family backgrounds and so on. The exam board or school’s Principal shall have authority for the evaluation, permission of admission. Hostel Facilities

The school has separate hostels for boys and girls with utmost requirements of facilities. The hostels have library, study-rooms in addition to living rooms. The care and supervision is usual. Tutorial classes, recreational materials and refreshment are other details. The hostel regulations and items/requirements can be learnt from hostel-in-charges, and supervisors or from the Principal. Transportation
The school has a bus for transporting students to school and back home. It is accessible from most points of the city or only from the indicated points. Any day boarder or day scholar students can access conveniently.
