We are excited to share that we had the privilege of hosting educational scholars, professors, and elementary teachers from Japan, who engaged in a meaningful exchange on primary education in Nepal and Japan. Their visit provided an enriching experience for our primary-level students, parents, and teachers, fostering mutual learning and collaboration.

The visit focused on understanding and exchanging educational practices that empower children to express their opinions, participate in decision-making, and bridge cultural learning experiences between Nepal and Japan.

🎲 𝐈𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: We started with interactive activities, including Sudoku and a Japanese board game, helping students ease into discussions about cultural similarities and differences between Nepal and Japan.
🗞 𝐄𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐬: The guests presented a bilingual (Japanese-English) newspaper created by the students of Fujita Elementary School. This exchange encouraged dialogue, allowing students to share their personal reflections, aspirations, and educational experiences.
🎤 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐕𝐨𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 & 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧: Through semi-structured interviews, explored students' perspectives on expressing their opinions both at school and home, using age-appropriate discussion methods.
👨👩👧 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭-𝐓𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞: Engaging discussions with parents and teachers focused on how children's opinions are respected in education and family settings, highlighting challenges and best practices in fostering student autonomy.
📰 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐨 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫 : The team conducted a brief session on how create poster newspaper and every student and parent created their own.
This visit was a significant step in strengthening global educational ties, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn and collaborate. Looking forward to more such enriching exchanges in the future! 🌏✨
