All participants receive participation certificates to certify their efforts. In the Final Round, participants receive either a Bronze, Silver or Gold Honour, depending on their performance. The best students are awarded the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Prize as well as special awards for the best participant from each country:

Submission and Login
Please submit your solution to the Qualification Round problem sheet via the official submission form. Pay attention to the following key points:
Clearly mark your final solutions (e.g., underlining them).
The solution file may be typed digitally (e.g., using TeX), or it may be a clear picture of your handwritten notes. Digitally typed solutions receive a special honourary note on the certificates!
You must upload one single file! If you have multiple pictures, compress them into one file. You can use this tool: ImgToPDF
You can upload PDF files and images (jpg, jpeg, png). We do not accept any other formats (e.g., ZIP or Word files)! You can use this tool to convert your file to PDF: Online-Converter
The file size has to be below 10 MB.
Important: Make sure that you write your name and date of birth correctly. They will be used across all certificates issued to you!
After you have submitted your solution via the submission form, you can log into your participant account (Login) to ...

Who can participate?
Current high school and university students from all grades and countries are eligible to participate.
Depending on your age group, you will have to solve more problems to qualify for the next round. To solve the problems, you should be open-minded and creative.
As some problems may require you to read real-world research material, fluency in English is beneficial. You should have a working internet connection to submit your solution online.

Why participate?
Participants receive certificates, awards, cash prizes, recognition, and an international network.
Participating allows you to apply your math skills to interesting problems, and to learn about topics beyond the school curriculum. All participants receive participation certificates. The top performers receive the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes with cash prizes from 175 USD to 25 USD. There are also national awards for the best participants from each country:

The International Youth Math Challenge is an educational mathematics competition that enables students from all countries to test their skills.
1. Qualification Round (November)
The Qualification Round consists of five problems. To qualify for the Pre-Final Round, you need to solve at least three to four problems. Please submit your solution online by 30 November 2025. All participants receive certificates.
2. Pre-Final Round (January)
Qualified participants can register for the Pre-Final Round. You have three days to solve the problems, which include reading a real-world research paper. This year's registration costs are 11 EUR to make the competition possible
3. Final Round (February)
The Finalists take an online exam supervised by a teacher or via self-recording. The winners receive certificates and various prizes worth over 1000 USD.

Qualification Round 2025
The math problems in the Qualification Round encompass a wide range of topics, varying in difficulty and discipline. They range from geometry to number theory to make sure that everyone finds interesting problems to work out! Each problem gives 5 points and to qualify for the Pre-Final Round in January 2026, you have to score at least 15, 17, or 20 points based on your age group.
