Justice for Inisha Jee!
We are deeply shocked and saddened by the brutal murder of Inisha BK in Surkhet through group r**e just days ago. This heinous crime is not only an attack on her dignity and life but also a grave violation of the rights of all women and girls.
NEGAAS stands in solidarity with her family and community. We strongly urge authorities to ensure swift investigation, strict accountability, and justice. Such violence must never be tolerated—collective action is essential to protect safety, dignity, and justice for women and girls in Nepal.

The International Women's Day 2026 is approaching very near that falls on 8th March 2026. The UN theme for IWD this year is 'Rights. Justice. Action. For All Women and Girls". To celebrate this important day, the NEGAAS has decided to organize a 'hiking program' on 14 March from Pani Muhan at Shivapuri National Park upto Bishnudwar. It will take about 4-5 hours to complete the hiking.
In this regard, we kindly request you to participate in the 'hike' and register your participation through QR code given in the flyer.

The Nepal German Academic Association-NEGAAS successfully held its 37th (AGM) on January 10, 2026, at Dekkaido Onsen, Budhanilakantha, marking another significant milestone in strengthening academic and cultural cooperation between and .
We were deeply honored by the gracious presence of H.E. Mr. Udo Eugen Volz, to Nepal, as the Chief Guest. His continued support and encouragement remain a strong source of inspiration for NEGAAS.
The AGM was further honored by the presence of Mr. Ananta Poudyal, President, and Mr. Sudarshan Neupane, General Secretary, of the (ANNA) as distinguished guests, reinforcing collaboration among academic and alumni networks.
The meeting was enriched by the presence of Past Presidents—Prof. Dr. Chandra Bahadur Joshi, Dr. Roshana Shrestha, Mr. Surendra Dhakal, and Prof. Dr.-Ing. Ramesh Kumar Maskey— along with respected life members. Their continued dedication and fresh enthusiasm are crucial to the association's growth and future direction.

Nepal German Academic Association-NEGAAS Formalizes Strategic Partnership with Nepali Roots e.V. Group Through MOU !!
Kathmandu, January 6, 2026 — The Nepal German Academic Association-NEGAAS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nepali Roots e.V. Group, formalizing a strategic partnership to strengthen long-term between Nepal and Germany. The agreement focuses on knowledge exchange, professional networking, and joint initiatives in research, innovation, capacity building, and policy dialogue.
This partnership aims to connect Nepali academics and professionals in Germany with institutions and experts in Nepal, while also supporting young researchers and students through mentorship and cross-border opportunities.
Representatives from both organizations attended the signing ceremony, marking an important step in institutionalizing diaspora engagement and academic cooperation.
NEGAAS looks forward to translating this partnership into meaningful and impactful initiatives in the years ahead.
