Congratulations to all 18 health workers who successfully graduated from the Eye Health Training Program 2026 under the project “See to Learn, See to Earn,” supported by Vision for the World.
This training was very special because it focused on practical learning. On Day 3, the participants conducted a vision screening camp and distributed free eyeglasses to women in need, turning their training into real service for the community.
This is the first time such a practical-based eye health training has been organized in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality, and it is very likely that municipal health workers in other municipalities have not yet received this level of hands-on eye health training.
During the closing ceremony, Mayor Upendra Karki shared two strong messages. He stated that Didi Foundation is the best not-for-profit organization in Kageshwori Manohara Municipality and one of the leading organizations in Kathmandu Valley for vocational and health related practical skill training in Nepal. He also mentioned that the trainees were very fortunate to be trained by some of the best eye health professionals of Nepal Bimal Paudyal, Ram K.C., and their training team.
The Mayor also expressed his happiness and confidence in the trained health workers and their readiness to start primary
eye care services from their own health posts.

“See to Learn, See to Earn” परियोजनाअन्तर्गत Eye Health Training Program 2026 सफलतापूर्वक सम्पन्न गरी १८ जना स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरू दीक्षित हुनु भएकोमा हार्दिक बधाई।
यस तालिमको मुख्य विशेषता यसको व्यावहारिक (प्रायोगिक) पक्ष हो। तेस्रो दिन, सहभागीहरूले दृष्टि परीक्षण शिविर सञ्चालन गर्नुका साथै आवश्यकतामा रहेका महिलाहरूलाई निःशुल्क चश्मा वितरण गरी समुदायमै प्रत्यक्ष सेवा प्रदान गर्नुभएको थियो।
कागेश्वरी मनोहरा नगरपालिका भित्र यस किसिमको व्यावहारिक आधारित आँखा स्वास्थ्य तालिम पहिलो पटक आयोजना गरिएको हो, र सम्भवतः काठमाडौं उपत्यकाका अन्य नगरपालिकाका स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरूले यति व्यवहारिक तालिम पाउने अवसर अहिलेसम्म पाएका छैनन्।
समापन समारोह मा नगरप्रमुख उपेन्द्र कार्की ले दुई महत्वपूर्ण कुराहरू उल्लेख गर्नुभयो। उहाँका अनुसार दिदी फाउन्डेसन कागेश्वरी मनोहरा नगरपालिकाको उत्कृष्ट गैरनाफामूलक संस्था मात्र होइन, काठमाडौं उपत्यकाभर व्यावसायिक तथा स्वास्थ्यसम्बन्धी व्यावहारिक सीप तालिम प्रदान गर्ने अग्रणी संस्थामध्ये एक हो। साथै, सहभागी स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरूलाई नेपालकै उत्कृष्ट आँखा स्वास्थ्य प्रशिक्षकहरू श्री बिमल पौडेल, श्री राम के.सी. तथा उहाँहरूको प्रशिक्षण टोलीबाट तालिम प्राप्त गर्ने अवसर पाउनु सौभाग्यको कुरा भएको उहाँले बताउनुभयो।
नगरप्रमुखज्यूले तालिम प्राप्त स्वास्थ्यकर्मीहरू आफ्नै स्वास्थ्यचौकीबाट प्राथमिक आँखा उपचार सेवा सुरु गर्न तयार रहेको देखेर खुसी र उत्साहित भएको पनि व्यक्त गर्नुभयो।
सहभागीहरूको प्रतिक्रिया भिडियो चाँडै सार्वजनिक गरिनेछ।
यस कार्यक्रम सफल बनाउन सहयोग गर्नु हुने सबैलाई हार्दिक धन्यवाद।
