🎉 Celebrating 2 Years of Catalyzing Change! 🎉

Today, we proudly celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of Catalyst for Change Nepal (C4C) — two years of learning, collaboration, and community-driven impact.

Over the past two years, we have worked alongside communities, schools, health workers, children, parents, and partners to create meaningful change. From promoting environmental sustainability through rainwater harvesting and eco-club capacitation, to advancing women's health through PMOS awareness and FCHV training, strengthening parent-child communication, and developing educational resources that continue to empower communities, every milestone has been made possible through collective effort.

This journey belongs to every child who found their voice, every health volunteer who became a source of knowledge, every educator who inspired change, and every partner and supporter who believed in our mission.

As we mark this milestone, we renew our commitment to building healthier, greener, and more resilient communities across Nepal.

đź’™ Thank you for being part of our journey. Here's to many more years of creating positive change together.

Catalyst for Change Nepal successfully conducted the workshop “Strengthening Family Support Systems for PMOS Awareness and Response” under Project SHAKTI (Supporting Hormonal Awareness & Knowledge Through Information: Igniting Resilience in the Fight Against PCOS) in collaboration with Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

The session brought together adolescent girls along with their parents/guardians, creating a safe and interactive space to strengthen communication within families on menstrual health, early signs of PMOS, lifestyle management, and emotional and physical changes during adolescence. The discussion encouraged openness, early awareness, and supportive family engagement in adolescent health and wellbeing.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Kathmandu Metropolitan City, participating adolescents and their families, and facilitators for their active engagement and continued collaboration in advancing adolescent and women’s health.

Catalyst for Change Nepal successfully conducted a capacity-building workshop on PMOS (Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome) for Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) of Urban Health Promotion Centers (UHPC) under Project SHAKTI (Supporting Hormonal Awareness & Knowledge Through Information: Igniting Resilience in the Fight Against PCOS) in collaboration with Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

The program was conducted in the presence of Acting Mayor Sunita Dangol, Mr. Deepak Kumar KC, Head of the Health Department, and Ms. Samikshya Niraula, Head of the Social Development Department, whose continued support and commitment toward women’s health and community wellbeing remain deeply encouraging.

As part of the initiative, 64 Female Community Health Volunteers (FCHVs) representing 32 Urban Health Promotion Centers (UHPCs) across Kathmandu Metropolitan City were trained to strengthen community-level awareness, early identification, and support mechanisms related to PMOS and adolescent reproductive health.

The training focused on enhancing knowledge, communication capacity, and community engagement approaches so that accurate and accessible health information can effectively reach adolescent girls, women, and families at the grassroots level.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Kathmandu Metropolitan City, all participating FCHVs, facilitators, and partners for their valuable collaboration in advancing women’s health awareness and community empowerment.

➡️ Swipe to know the difference?
PCOS and PCoD are often confused and interchanged, but they’re not the same.

Understanding your body is the first step toward better health.

Ask questions. Don’t ignore symptoms.
