Here are two useful words to express mild frustration in Nepali language.

"𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙗𝙝𝙖𝙜𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙖𝙣" literally means "Oh my god", but it is mainly used when someone is frustrated or annoyed.

"𝙃𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙞" is similar to "oh no !"

Forgot your keys 🔑 ? Missed your bus 🚌? 𝗛𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗕𝗛𝗔𝗚𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗔𝗡 !! or 𝗛𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗥𝗜 !!

What do you say in these situations in your language ?

Here is another Nepali proverb:
"𝙃𝙖𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙠𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙠𝙝 𝙢𝙖𝙖 𝙟𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙖 " (हात्तीको मुखमा जिरा)

This proverb means “a very small amount compared to what is needed or expected.”
Literally, "𝙃𝙖𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙠𝙤 𝙢𝙪𝙠𝙝 𝙢𝙖𝙖 𝙟𝙞𝙧𝙖𝙖" refers to “a cumin seed in the mouth of an elephant,” and the closest English equivalent is “a drop in the ocean.”

How do you express this idea in your language ? You can write in the comment ☺️

Did you know about the "National Paddy Day" ? 🌾🌾

Today, farmers in Nepal are observing National Paddy Day. It is also known as “dhaan diwas” or “dahi-chiuraa khaane din”.

It is celebrated every year on the 15th day of Asar, the third month of the Nepalese calendar. This day marks the start of the rice planting season and is regarded as an auspicious occasion.

The celebration is filled with joy, traditional music, dance, and a special meal: beaten rice (chiuraa) served with curd (dahi).

I would like to share this video to give you a closer look at how this festival is celebrated.

It's the rainy season here in Nepal 🌦️ ! I hope you all are doing well. After a long break from social media, I am happy to share a Nepali proverb I love.
This humorous proverb is used when someone has something valuable but does not know how to use it properly "Bäädar ko haat maa nariwal / बाँदरको हातमा नरिवल" !

🌺 Wishing you all a very Happy Nepali New Year 2082🌺
नेपाली नयाँ वर्ष २०८२ को सबैलाई धेरै धेरै शुभकामना छ ! 🎉

Yes, we are now officially in the year 2082 here in Nepal🇳🇵
Did you know? The Nepali calendar is actually 56.7 years ahead of the Gregorian calendar.

Our new year is based on the Bikram Sambat calendar. It’s a traditional lunar calendar that's deeply connected to our culture, religion, and national identity. It is also used for official purposes across the country. That’s why the first day of Baishakh, the first month, is such a meaningful day: it’s not just the start of a new year, but a time to reflect, reset, and reconnect.

Once again, Happy New Year 2082 to each one of you : may this year be filled with learning, laughter, and growth! 🌱

🎵The "sarangi" is a short-necked string instrument that we can find in Nepal. It is a bowed, hollow instrument with four strings. It is especially popular in Nepalese folk music and this instrument is known for its ability to mimic the sound of the human voice. 🎵
