On day three of Literacy Week, students explored poem writing, pair reading, mystery reading, and chain storytelling, while bringing stories alive through facial expressions, gestures, voice modulation, and actions. The exciting Genre Passport Adventure took students through four reading stations—Mystery, Fiction, Non-Fiction, and Biography—where they explored short texts, identified genre clues, and collected stamps to complete their reading passport!

Grade XI students of NAMI International School participated in an insightful awareness programme on “Zero Plastic 2040”, conducted by ASEZ (Save the Earth from A to Z), an international university student volunteer group. The programme introduced students to global efforts to address plastic pollution and highlighted the important role young people can play in creating positive environmental change.
The session raised awareness about the growing impact of plastic pollution on our rivers, soil, wildlife, and human health. Students explored how simple everyday actions such as reducing single-use plastics, reusing materials, recycling, and choosing eco-friendly alternatives can contribute to a cleaner and healthier planet.

Day Two of Literacy Week celebrations was filled with engaging activities, including drawing and imitating favourite characters, a Mystery Reader, vocabulary-building word-card games with PlayNepal, Roll a Story, and creating stories from picture sequences to strengthen storytelling skills. The day concluded with an exciting Spelling Bee and a thought-provoking Mime Activity, where students communicated messages without using words.

A wonderful start to Literacy Week 2026 at NAMI International School!
Day 1 brought words, books, imagination, and creativity to life through a range of engaging activities, from discovering new books, authors and welcoming Parents as Mystery Readers to poetry writing and stamping favourite reads as Bookemon. Students participated with excitement and curiosity, exploring different ways to connect with words and stories.
The week is all about making literacy meaningful, creative, and joyful, helping children build a lasting connection with books, language, and imagination that lasts forever.
