Required Documentation Under Streamlined Visa Process.

''Streamlined applicants will need to provide to DIAC at the time of visa lodgement a completed form 157A, COEs for all courses and their passports. We strongly recommend that applicants also provide evidence of their financial situation in Nepal and incentives to return. This could include factors such as evidence of employment, ownership of assets and a current,bank statement.

It is not necessary to provide DIAC with detailed evidence of funds as the onus is initially on the University to be satisfied that the student can afford to study in Australia. It is at the discretion of each University as to the evidence, amount and form of funds that they require. Following visa lodgement, if DIAC has concerns regarding whether the applicant can afford to study it has the discretion to request evidence of funds from the applicant.

Streamlined applicants do not need to provide evidence of their English language ability to DIAC but will need to satisfy their University that they have sufficient levels of English

From Today,24 March 2012, student visa applicants enrolled in Bachelor, Masters or Doctoral degrees at participating universities, regardless of their country of origin, will be treated as though they are lower risk, similar to the current Assessment Level 1.
