कान्तिपुरका खड्गाकारमा रहेका अजिमाहरू

कान्तिपुर नगरमा खड्काकारमा रहेका अष्टमातृका निम्न छन् -
(१) कङ्ग अजिमा (कङ्केश्वरी),
(२) न्यतमरू अजिमा (श्वेतकाली, नरदेवी),
(३) लुँति अजिमा (इन्द्रायणी, ढल्को),
(४) म्हैपी अजिमा (ज्ञानेश्वरी, म्हैपी),
(५) मैतीअजिमा (पञ्चकुमारी, बालकुमारी, मैतीदेवी),
(६) तकती अजिमा (नीलवाराही, कालीमाटी),
(७) बछला अजिमा (वत्सलादेवी, पशुपति) र
(८) लुँमढी अजिमा (भद्रकाली, टँुडिखेल) ।

यद्यपि, यस विषयमा विभिन्न विद्वान् को विभिन्न मत रहेको पाइन्छ । संस्कृतिविद् महेश्वर जुजु राजोपाध्यायका अनुसार खड्काकारमा स्थापित अष्टमातृका क्रमशः

१.नै अजिमा (वैष्णवी),
२.कङ्ग अजिमा (वाराही),
३.लुँति अजिमा (इन्द्रायणी),
४. प्वार्पा अजिमा (चामुण्डा, नारसिंही),
५.चन्द्रलखु अजिमा (महालक्ष्मी),
६.पासिक्व अजिमा (ब्रह्माणी),
७.लुँमढी अजिमा (महेश्वरी) र
८.फिब्ब अजिमा (कौमारी) हुन् ।

खड्गको बिँडका रूपमा पचली भैरव रहेका छन् । प्राचीन कान्तिपुर नगरको सीमाङ्कनका आधार यिनै मातृका पीठ थिए । जसमा आधारित रहेर कान्तिपुर सहरभित्र र सहरबाहिरका क्षेत्रमा शासन सञ्चालन हुन्थ्यो ।

मध्यकालीन नेपाल खाल्डोका शासकमध्ये कान्तिपुरका राजाले नगर संरक्षिकाका रूपमा तान्त्रिक विधिबाट अष्टमातृकाको खड्गाकारमा स्थापना गरेर पूजा प्रक्रम चलाएजस्तै भक्तपुर (भादगाउँ)का राजाले यन्त्राकारमा नवदुर्गाको स्थापना गरेको देखिन्छ भने पाटनका राजाले शङ्खाकारमा दशमहाविद्याको स्थापना गरेर शक्ति साधना गरेको पाइन्छ । यसका साथै तत्कालीन नेपाल मण्डलका तीनवटै सहर काठमाडौँ, ललितपुर र भक्तपुरका शासकहरूले राज्यश्रीका रूपमा परमआराध्या तलेजु भवानीको मन्दिर स्थापना गरेर अत्यन्त गोप्य तन्त्र विधिले शक्तिलाई प्रधान्यता दिई शक्ति साधना गर्नेे गर्थे । अहिले पनि राज्यसत्ताको प्रतिनिधिका रूपमा खड्गलाई राखेर विभिन्न जात्रापर्व, पूजाअनुष्ठान आदि कार्य सञ्चालन हुँदै आएको छ ।

नगर क्षेत्रभित्रका अन्य विभिन्न स्थानमा अजिमायुक्त शक्तिपीठ प्रचुर मात्रामा विद्यमान छन् । ती अजिमा हुन्– नई अजिमा (नकिनि अजिमा, पचली, टेकु), ख्वना अजिमा (सिकाली पचली, टेकु), पासिक्व अजिमा (महालक्ष्मी, तीनधारा पाठशाला, कमलादी), फिसः (फिब्ब अजिमा, टुकुचा, माइतीघर), मनमैजु अजिमा (मनमैजु), असंभुलु अजिमा (अन्नपूर्ण देवी, असन), लुचुंभुलु अजिमा (केलटोल), कुलांभुलु अजिमा (रक्तकाली, त्यङ्गल), सख्वना माजु (नील सरस्वती, लैनचौर, लाजिम्पाट), कल्खु अजिमा (कलङ्की), तुसिमरु अजिमा (श्वेतकली, बालुवाटार), कुलेश्वर अजिमा (कुलेश्वर), प्राचीन बौद्ध अजिमा (बौद्ध), त्वरद्यः अजिमा (टुडाँलदेवी, विशालनगर), वटु अजिमा (भद्रकाली, वटु), पोर्पा अजिमा (रानी देवी, रानीबारी, लाजिम्पाट), प्याथ्वः अजिमा (बाइसधारा, बालाजु), दोलब्व (दोला) अजिमा (कुमारी, राष्ट्रबैङ्क गेटसँगै, थापाथली), न्हेकंतला अजिमा (उग्रतारा, न्हेकंतला), चन्द्रलखु अजिमा (नारायणहिटी दरबारभित्र), अरीं अजिमा (चिकंमुगल), दुई अजिमा (दुमाजु) (रत्नपार्क, खुलामञ्च गेट), भमलु अजिमा (कमलादी, असन), हारती अजिमा (स्वयम्भू), विजेश्वरी अजिमा (विजेश्वरी), ममता अजिमा (भाटभटेनी), जातिका अजिमा (थबःहि), हाकु अजिमा यट्खा (चोखाछेंगल्ली), महालक्ष्मी अजिमा (जनसेवा), ज्वाला अजिमा (त्यौढ), बिजेश्वरी अजिमा (बिजेश्वरी), तारिणी अजिमा (मखन बहाल), चास्को अजिमा (रुद्रायणी) आदि कान्तिपुर नगरभित्रका प्रमुख अजिमापीठ हुन् ।
यी अजिमाका साथसाथै कान्तिपुर नगरभित्रका परम्परागत नेवार बस्तीमा आ–आफ्नो क्षेत्रको छ्वास अजिमा तथा अधिकांश बस्तीमा कुमारी स्थान (पीठ) रहेकोसमेत देख्न सकिन्छ ।
