An ideal voltage source produces an output Voltage that is constant.
The simplest example of an ideal Voltage source is a perfect battery, one whose internal resistance is zero. eg. the ideal voltage source of 12 V always produces 12 V across the load resistance, regardless of what value it is adjusted to.
