The tragic death of a young British trekker, Tracey Taylor Young, led to the establishment of the Kathmandu Environment Education Project (KEEP) in 1992.

Tracey was killed in a fall during a climb on the trekking peak Imja Tse (Island Peak) in 1991. Tracey, along with her friend Joanne Chittenden, had decided to climb Imja Tse to raise awareness of the growing environmental degradation of the Khumbu region of Nepal. In her memory, it was decided that a new project on ecotourism should be established to provide education on safe and ecologically sus

πŸ’§ Bringing Safe Drinking Water to Chhaptol, Sarsyu,Rasuwa πŸ’§

In Chhaptol village of Sarsyu, Rasuwa, 84 households are struggling every single day just to collect one jar of water. Families walk long distances to fetch water, the same water they use for cooking, cleaning, washing, and feeding their cattle. The hardship affects their health, time, and overall quality of life.

To change this reality, we have launched a Community Drinking Water Supply Program that will:
βœ” Build 55 water taps
βœ” Construct one storage tank
βœ” Install a distribution system
βœ” Ensure sustainable and safe drinking water access

Once completed, families will have clean, safe water right in front of their homes β€” freeing them from daily hardship and improving health, dignity, and opportunity.

But many more communities in rural Nepal are still facing severe drinking water shortages.

We sincerely request our supporters and well-wishers to join hands with us in this mission. Together, we can fulfill the thirsty dreams of local communities and create lasting change.

πŸ’™ Every drop counts. Every contribution matters.
