When speaking about health, we often forget to look at it holistically. While we know what physical wellbeing is, let’s consider mental and social well-being as well:
* Mental health is not just the absence of depression or anxiety but also the ability to enjoy life and feel secure.
* How quickly can one bounce back from difficult experiences.
* The foundation of friendships and family for a person.
* How connected you’re with the society.
This let’s spread the importance of social and mental health as well.

As we are entering a stressful time, it is important that we remind ourselves of everything that matters.
Be calm, be informed and more importantly be kind.

With a pandemic upon us, let’s be smart and support one another. Even maintaining simple personal hygiene like washing ones hands makes a difference.

Some ways we can help children as advised by World Health Organization (WHO):

🧡 Find positive ways for them to express fear and sadness in a safe and supportive environment.

🧡 If a child has to be separated from their primary caregiver, ensure alternative care is arranged and the child can maintain regular contact with caregivers over phone or video calls.

🧡 If a child is confined to home try and maintain familiar routine.

🧡 As this is a stressful time, discuss COVID-19 in honest and age-appropriate information. Children typically mirror adult behaviour in managing their emotions during difficult times.
