Sharing someone’s private moments without their permission is beyond wrong.

I don’t care who the person is or what they’ve done — nobody deserves that kind of betrayal. People fall in love, they trust, they open up to someone — and that vulnerability should never be used against them.

What’s even more heartbreaking is how casually people joke about it. Making memes, dropping "ask for link" comments, pretending it’s cool — it’s not. It’s pathetic. It shows how desensitized we’ve become to someone else’s pain.

Just because someone chose to be expressive or confident online doesn't give anyone the right to violate their privacy.
Consent matters. Empathy matters.
And being a decent human being matters.

Let’s not be the kind of people who break others when they’re already hurting.
Let’s be better than that.

Chaitra 15: Destruction in the Name of Change?

Chaitra 15 wasn’t just a protest—it was destruction, chaos, and loss. Innocent people lost their lives. Private properties were damaged. Public transport was attacked. The situation became so extreme that a curfew had to be imposed. Is this how we bring change, or are we pushing the country further into crisis?

People say they want a king to "save" the country. But at what cost? After causing so much destruction, after putting lives at risk, is this really a step toward a better Nepal? Or are we just repeating history with new faces?

Our youth are leaving because they see no future here. Corruption has already sold the nation, and now even safety is gone. I stand for democracy, but I refuse to stand with politicians who have failed us.

People want change, but this? Burning vehicles, destroying businesses, harming innocent people—how does this save the country? If we want a better future, we need to build, not destroy.

How much more damage before we realize we’re only hurting ourselves?

Protest tip: Don’t wear or bring expensive things! No gold chains, fancy watches, or anything costly. Stuff can get lost or taken fast. Someone lost their 2-tola gold necklace in the mess—keep yours safe at home.

Monarchy in Nepal: A Real Solution or Just Sentimental Hype?

Lately, more and more people are talking about bringing back the monarchy in Nepal. The frustration is real—politicians have failed us. Corruption is everywhere, major industries have shut down, and the economy is in terrible shape. But does that mean we should throw away democracy?

Democracy gives us freedom—the right to speak, to question, and to hold leaders accountable. The problem isn’t the system itself, but the people running it. Instead of replacing democracy with monarchy, shouldn’t we be replacing the corrupt politicians?

Some say, “The King will come and save the country.” But let’s not forget—just a few years ago, it was the people who removed him. There are serious allegations against him, from selling national assets to suspicions surrounding the royal massacre. And Prince Paras? Everyone knows about his past. Can we really trust him with power?

At the end of the day, Nepalis want only one thing—development. Whether under a democracy or a monarchy, the goal is the same. But we must be careful. A monarchy can easily turn into a dictatorship, restricting speech and personal freedoms. Do we really want to go down that path?

Instead of looking backward, shouldn’t we demand real change from within democracy? What do you think?

We live in a world full of distractions. One moment we’re deep in work or study—and the next, we’re scrolling without even realizing it.

But here’s something to think about:
Every time we get distracted, our brain takes around 23 minutes to fully refocus.
That’s a lot of mental energy lost to a single notification.

Our brains are wired to chase quick dopamine hits—from pings, posts, and endless scrolling.
But the beautiful part? Our brains are also capable of change. That’s neuroplasticity—the power to rewire and refocus.

Here are a few ways we can protect our focus:

25 minutes of pure work, 5-minute breaks (Pomodoro technique)

Lo-fi or ambient background music

Putting our phones on silent, face down, out of sight

Choosing presence over chaos

We don’t need to be perfect. But we can be mindful.
Let’s give our brains the space to thrive.
