Happy Vijaya Dashami 🌱

At the joyful celebration of Dashain at Shanti Waldorf Inspired School , our exceptionally talented students put on a captivating performance. The event featured a compelling drama, graceful and intricate dance performances that showcased various cultural influences, melodious renditions of both traditional and contemporary songs, and the traditional Tika ritual, which added a deeply meaningful and spiritual element to the festivities.

On the previous Sunday, the students in grades 6, 7, and 8 at Shanti Waldorf Inspired School were actively engaged in a range of enriching activities. They took part in the traditional practice of making Duna Tapari and cucumber pickles in preparation for an upcoming festival.
Furthermore, all the students had the opportunity to participate in a jamara plantation program on Monday. During this event, the children experienced the traditional method of planting jamara and enthusiastically sang numerous songs, adding to the cultural significance of the activity.

Yesterday, our students celebrated the Ropain Festival, also known as Asar 15, which is a significant celebration in Nepal where farmers mark the day by planting new rice seedlings in the Terai and Inner-Terai regions. This festival is celebrated as the climax of rice planting.
"Ropain" means rice plantation in Nepali, and the day holds cultural and agricultural significance for the people of Nepal.
Our students were involved in various activities such as planting rice, playing in the mud and water, and enjoying beaten rice with yoghurt.
