Today, with hearts full of gratitude, we opened our futsal court at the monastery in loving memory of T.Dawa Norbu, Tenzin Chophel and Greg Whitesid.
This special place came to life because of the generosity and kindness of our supporters, who believed in our vision and cared deeply for our students’ growth, health, and happiness.
From the bottom of our hearts, we offer our deepest thanks to Dezhung Rinpochela, Ayla Sham, Yatsham, and Peter Morgan. Your support has given our young monks not just a playing space, but a place to laugh, learn teamwork, build confidence, and experience joy beyond the classroom.
We would like to give special thanks to Dezhung Rinpochela, who always thinks about our monks’ overall development—not just education, but also sports, physical health, and happiness. Your love and guidance shape their lives in so many ways.
Every kick, every cheer, every smile on this futsal court carries your care and generosity. You have given our children a gift that goes far beyond the game—discipline, unity, and joy that will stay with them forever.
We will always remember you in our prayers, wishing you good health, long life, and peace of mind. May your kindness return to you a thousandfold.

On this day, we held a Nepali quiz competition among all the houses for grades 5 to 7. This competition had a positive impact on both junior and senior monks. This amazing event brought excitement and confidence to the students and teachers and filled everyone with joy and happiness. We are also very grateful to our teachers for always organizing the best competitions. Thank you for that.

Your wide eyes see all that is knowable. Out of compassion, you accomplish virtue and goodness for all wandering beings. You wield the strength to perform inconceivable activities. Guru Mañjunātha, I offer homage with my head at your feet!
Sakya Pandita Kunga Gyaltsen (1182-1251), the fourth Sakya
patriarch and the sixth Sakya throne holder was one of the greatest scholars in Tibetan Buddhism. Born to father Palchen Oppo and mother Machig Nyitri Cham, he became the principal disciple of his uncle, the third Sakya patriarch and fifth Sakya throne holder-Jetsun Dragpa Gyaltsen. Sakya Pandita was exceptionally intelligent and a quick learner. At an early age he mastered all the sutra and ta**ra teachings. He was also proficient in the five great sciences of Buddhist philosophy, medicine, grammar, dialectics, and Sanskrit as well as the minor sciences of rhetoric, synonymies, poetry, dancing, and astrology. He received his bhiksu monk vow from the prominent Kashmiri scholar Sakya Shri in 1208 whom taught him sutras and mantras. In 1244, Sakya Pandita was summoned to the court of the Mongol prince Godan, the grandson of Genghis Khan, where he taught and is reported to have healed the prince of leprosy. Godan granted Sakya Pandita temporal authority over Ü and Tsang in 1249.Sakya Pandita was known as a formidable philosophical debater in both formal public arenas and in writing. He authored more than one hundred texts and was also a prolific Sanskrit translator. In 1251, before he entered into parinirvana, he named his nephew, Drogon Chogyal Phagpa.
