Nepal Agricultural Research Council (NARC) was established in 1991 as an autonomous organization under "Nepal Agricultural Research Council Act - 1991" to conduct agricultural research in the country to uplift the economic level of the people.

Newly recruited Assistant-level ( Technical, Administration, and Finance) staff of NARC received their appointment letters and took the oath of office on 17 Aug, 2026 at the NARC Central Office, Singha Durbar Plaza, Kathmandu.

The oath was administered by Executive Director Dr. Shreemat Shrestha, who welcomed and congratulated the new staff in the presence of NARC Directors.

Our Technical Assistants are the real supporters of research and innovation, working alongside scientists and driving research activities forward in the field and laboratories.

Congratulations and best wishes to all for a successful journey in serving Nepalese agriculture. 🌾🇳🇵

🌾 NARC र Big Agro बीच साझेदारी: पोषणयुक्त गहुँको व्यावसायीकरणतर्फ नयाँ कदम !

नेपाल कृषि अनुसन्धान परिषद् (NARC) र बिग एग्रो ग्रुप लिमिटेड, नेपालबीच NARC द्वारा विकसित पोषणयुक्त (बायोफोर्टिफाइड) गहुँका जातहरूको व्यावसायीकरण तथा मूल्य शृंखला विकास सम्बन्धी समझदारी पत्रमा मिति २०८३ साल श्रावण २५ गते NARC केन्द्रीय कार्यालय, सिंहदरबार प्लाजा, काठमाडौंमा हस्ताक्षर सम्पन्न भएको छ। NARC का कार्यकारी निर्देशक डा. श्रीमत श्रेष्ठ र बिग एग्रो ग्रुप लिमिटेडका अध्यक्ष श्री नबराज बुर्लाकोटीले समझदारी पत्रमा हस्ताक्षर गर्नुभएको हो। यस अवसरमा दुवै संस्थाका पदाधिकारीहरूको समेत उपस्थिति रहेको थियो।

यस सम्झौताअनुसार जिंक र आइरनयुक्त पोषणयुक्त गहुँ जातहरूको बीउ उत्पादनदेखि बजारसम्मको एकीकृत मूल्य शृंखला निर्माण गरिनेछ। NARC ले गुणस्तरीय बीउ, प्राविधिक सहयोग र प्रयोगशाला परीक्षण उपलब्ध गराउने र बिग एग्रोले किसानसँग प्रत्यक्ष खरिद सम्झौता गरी व्यावसायिकरुपमा गहुँजन्य वस्तु ब्रान्डिङ र बजारीकरण गर्नेछ।

यो सम्झौताले नेपालमा कृषि अनुसन्धान र निजी क्षेत्रबीचको प्रत्यक्ष सहकार्य विस्तार गरी अनुसन्धानबाट उत्पादित प्रविधिलाई व्यावसायिक उद्योगसँग जोड्दै अनुसन्धान-उद्योग साझेदारी सुदृढ गरेको छ।

🌱 Advancing Nepal’s Horticulture Through Research, Innovation, and Excellence

Executive Director Dr. Shreemat Shrestha, accompanied by NARC Directors, visited the research fields of the National Horticulture Research Centre (NHRC), Khumaltar, Lalitpur, where both open-field and protected cultivation research activities are being carried out. The visit offered valuable insights into innovative research, improved production technologies, and promising research outputs contributing to Nepal’s horticultural development.

Great appreciation to the Chief of NHRC and the entire team for their exemplary field management, dedication, and continued commitment to excellence in horticultural research.

🌾 नयाँ आर्थिक वर्षसँगै कृषि अनुसन्धानको जनशक्ति विकासमा थप आयाम!

नेपाल कृषि अनुसन्धान परिषद् (NARC) मा आजदेखि आर्थिक वर्ष २०८३/८४ को सुरुवातसँगै कृषि अनुसन्धानले थप गति लिने अपेक्षा गरिएको छ।

✅ नवनियुक्त करिब ७० जना वैज्ञानिक तथा वरिष्ठ वैज्ञानिक जनशक्ति काठमाडौं उपत्यका बाहिरका विभिन्न अनुसन्धान केन्द्रहरूमा कृषि क्षेत्रको वैज्ञानिक खोज, अनुसन्धान, नवप्रवर्तन र प्रविधि विस्तारका लागि आजैदेखि कार्यरत भइसक्नुभएको छ।
वैज्ञानिकहरू खुमलटार स्थित राष्ट्रिय विषयगत अनुसन्धान केन्द्रहरूमा १ साताको अभिमुखीकरण कार्यक्रममा सहभागी भई सम्बन्धित विषयगत क्षेत्रका विज्ञहरुबाट मेन्टरशिप प्राप्त गर्दै कृषि अनुसन्धानका प्राविधिक पक्षमा थप परिचित भई आजदेखि आ-आफू खटिएको कार्यालयमा हाजिर भइसक्नुभएको छ।

👥 साथै, करिब ५० जना अधिकृतस्तरका (प्राविधिक, प्रशासनिक र लेखा) कर्मचारीहरूले आज नियुक्ति पत्र बुझी शपथ लिँदै अभिमुखीकरण कार्यक्रममा सहभागी हुनुहुनेछ।

नयाँ जनशक्ति र नयाँ ऊर्जासँगै कृषि अनुसन्धानलाई थप सशक्त बनाई देशको समग्र कृषि विकासमा महत्त्वपूर्ण योगदान पुर्याउन NARC को प्रतिबद्धता जारी छ!

Newly recruited Officers (Technical, Administration, and Finance) of the Nepal Agricultural Research Council received their appointment letters and took the oath of office on 17 July 2026 (today) at the NARC Central Office, Singha Durbar Plaza, Kathmandu.

The oath was administered by Executive Director Dr. Shreemat Shrestha, who congratulated the officers and welcomed them to their new responsibilities in strengthening NARC’s commitment to agricultural research, innovation, and institutional excellence.

NARC extends its sincere congratulations and best wishes to all the officers for a successful and impactful journey in serving Nepalese agriculture.

Senior Scientists and Scientists of Nepal Agricultural Research Council received their appointment letters and took their oath of office on 6&7th July 2026 at the NARC Central Office, Singha Durbar Plaza, Kathmandu.
Executive Director Dr. Shreemat Shrestha administered the oath, welcoming and congratulating the newly recruited as well as promoted ones through open competition on their new responsibilities within NARC's mission of advancing agricultural research and innovation for the nation.
NARC extends its best wishes to all the scientists as they take up their new roles in service of Nepali agriculture through research and innovation.

नेपाल कृषि अनुसन्धान परिषद् र कर्मचारी सञ्चय कोषबीच महत्त्वपूर्ण सम्झौता
ने.कृ.अ.प. कर्मचारी प्रशासन विनियमावली २०८२ बमोजिम मिति २०७५ साउन १ गते पश्चात परिषद्को स्थायी सेवामा नियुक्त कर्मचारीहरूलाई योगदानमा आधारित निवृत्तभरण प्रणाली अन्तर्गत सुविधा उपलब्ध गराउने प्रयोजनका लागि परिषद् र कर्मचारी सञ्चय कोषबीच मिति २०८३/०३/१८ गते सम्झौता सम्पन्न भयो। सम्झौता पत्रमा परिषद्का कार्यकारी निर्देशक डा. श्रीमत श्रेष्ठ र कोषका प्रमुख कार्यकारी अधिकृत श्री वीरेन्द्र पौडेलले हस्ताक्षर गर्नुभयो। यस अवसरमा परिषद्को तर्फबाट डा. भानुभक्त पोखरेल, निर्देशक, योजना तथा समन्वय र डा. राजेन्द्र पण्डित, निर्देशक, आर्थिक प्रशासन तथा कोषको तर्फबाट श्री रविन केसी, वरिष्ठ प्रबन्धक लगायतका पदाधिकारीको उपस्थिति रहेको थियो।
