मधेशी समाजमा सनेश एक रैथाने, परम्परागत प्रथालाई प्रतिबिम्बित गर्दछ। जसमा नवविवाहित दुलहा पक्षले नवविवाहित दुलहीलाई बाँसको दौरीमा बिभिन्न पकवान हरु राखेर घरको कुलदेवता को आशिर्वाद शहित रातो पहेंलो गुलाफी रंगले रंगिएको सुत्ति धोतीले बेरेर सावधानीपूर्वक तयार पारी एक अर्का लाई अर्पण गरिन्छ। जसलाई सामान्य रुपमा सनेश अर्थात मोटा भनिन्छ। यस भित्र सामान्यतया पकाएको खिर, पुरी, सुपारी, सुपारी, मक्खन, आँपको पात र तुलसीका पातहरू जस्ता वस्तुहरू समावेश हुन्छन्। यस बाहेक यसको अर्को अर्थ नयाँ पिढिको आरम्भ हुनुको संकेत को रुपमा समेत लिने गरिन्छ। यसले नयाँ पुस्ता, नवविवाहित जोडीले प्रतिनिधित्व गर्ने परिवारको देवतालाई अर्पण गरेको सम्मान लाई समेत जनाउँछ।
Sanesh reflects a raithane, traditional practice in Madhesi society. In which the newly wedded bridegroom's side puts various dishes on a bamboo round and wraps them in red yellow pink colored cotton dhoti and offers them to each other. Which is generally called Sanesh means fat. It usually includes items like cooked kheer, puri, betel nut, betel nut, butter, mango leaves and basil leaves. Apart from this, its other meaning is also taken as a sign of the beginning of a new generation. It also refers to the respect paid to the family deity represented by the new generation, the newly married couple.
