It’s not a child’s duty to earn their parents’ love.
Children should not have to behave perfectly, stay quiet, get good grades, or become “easy” just to feel loved.
Love is not a reward.
It’s not a prize for good behavior.
It’s not something they should have to chase.
A child’s only job is to grow, to learn, to make mistakes, to explore who they are.
It is the parent’s responsibility to love — consistently, loudly, and without conditions.
When children feel like they have to earn love, they grow up anxious…
always performing…
always trying to be “enough.”
But when they know love is secure — even after mistakes —
they grow confident.
They grow brave.
They grow whole.
Our children should never have to reach for our love.
Our love should already be reaching for them.
