NiCHOD is a 3-minute research summary presentation competition that challenges undergraduate and graduate students across Nepal to present their thesis research in just three minutes, using accessible language for a general audience.

🌟 Announcement: New Leadership at NaYAN 🌟

We are delighted to share a significant milestone in the journey of the National Young Academy of Nepal (NaYAN). During the Fifth Annual General Meeting, held on December 5–6, a new Executive Committee was elected to guide NaYAN into its next chapter.

This transition marks a renewed commitment to empowering young researchers, fostering collaboration, and advancing scientific excellence across Nepal.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the newly elected leadership team. At the same time, we express our deepest gratitude to the outgoing committee for their dedication, vision, and tireless efforts in strengthening NaYAN’s foundation. Their contributions have paved the way for continued growth and impact, and we honor their service with appreciation.

Together—with the wisdom of the past and the energy of the future—we look forward to building stronger networks, amplifying the voices of early-career researchers, and shaping a vibrant future for science in Nepal.

Congrats to Mr. Ajaya Acharya for winning the NiCHOD 2025 competition in the Graduate category from the Pharmacy Department of Kathmandu University, and to Ms. Samana Thapa for winning the Undergraduate category from the Microbiology Department of Tri Chandra Multiple Campus.

Thanks to all judges, volunteers, partners, and participants who made this event possible. Students stepped up and delivered their thesis research in just three minutes, and they did an incredible job.
