In collaboration with JWAS, MAW Skills Academy has launched vocational skills training under the Youth Economic Empowerment Project (YEEP) for selected participants. The training focuses on JCB operators, air conditioning and refrigeration mechanics, and light vehicle driving, aiming to enhance employment prospects and income generation. This initiative is supported by Plan International and the MetLife Foundation and implemented by JWAS Nepal. The program seeks to equip youth with practical, market-aligned skills to help address the skilled workforce gap in both domestic and international labor markets.

In partnership with Kangaroo Human Resources Pvt. Ltd., MAW Skills Academy has successfully conducted an orientation program for aspiring youth seeking employment abroad.
These motivated individuals are preparing to pursue careers as Electricians, JCB Operators, and AC/Fridge Mechanics, aiming for promising opportunities in the Gulf and European countries. Kangaroo will serve as the recruitment partner, while the graduates will be free to choose their destination.

Exploratory Visit from Japanese Delegation to MAW Skills Academy
We had the pleasure of hosting a team from the Cooperative Association Kigyo Koryu Center (Japan) at MAW Skills Academy. During their visit, the delegation observed our ongoing Electric Vehicle Maintenance Mechanic training at FOTON and visited Škoda, JCB, and Eicher centers to gain insights into structured training practices in the automobile and heavy equipment sectors.
The visit aimed to explore possibilities for designing effective training programs that can support skill development and potential employment opportunities for Nepali youths in the Japanese automobile industry.
With a focus on Automobile Mechanics, JCB Operators, and Heavy Equipment Mechanics, such initiatives could contribute to addressing the skilled workforce gap in Japan while empowering aspiring migrant youths from Nepal through practical, hands-on training.

MAW Skills Academy and Kangaroo Human Resources Pvt. Ltd. Signed an Agreement of Cooperation (AOC) to Enhance Skills Training for Aspiring Migrant Workers
In a strategic move to bolster vocational training and employment opportunities for aspiring migrant workers, MAW Skills Academy has signed an AOC with Kangaroo Human Resources Pvt. Ltd. The partnership aims to conduct specialized training programs targeting placements in European and Gulf countries.
The agreement was signed by Mr. Tej Prasad Subedi, representing MAW Skills Academy, and Mr. Pashupati Bista, on behalf of Kangaroo Human Resources Pvt. Ltd.
The collaboration will initially focus on training for in-demand occupations including Electrician, Electrician Helper, and JCB Operator, addressing the rising global demand for technically skilled professionals. In the next phase, both organizations plan to introduce joint training programs in Lift Mechanics and Auto Mechanics, expanding the scope of skilled workforce development.
This partnership represents a significant step forward in empowering Nepalese youth with internationally relevant skills and enhancing access to safe and decent employment opportunities abroad. It reflects a shared commitment to advancing technical education and supporting sustainable migration through quality training and workforce readiness.
