The Information Technology (IT) industry is undergoing drastic changes. A key new emerging market, which appears to be the most promising and emerging one, is where artificial intelligence (AI) is meeting niche industries. The industries of agriculture, health care and education are increasingly coupling various AI solutions with real industry problems that require sector-based solutions. A case in point is sharedure, where farmers will use AI driven crop monitoring tools, to enable them to provide more effective management of crop yield, in real time. In the healthcare industry, AI enabled diagnostics will help resolve long standing issues of equitable access to healthcare facilities, given these facilities exist in rural contexts, while in the education sector, learning particularly in AR and VR, use of AI in education will continue from, moving more into practical training, tourism and remote work applications, as we move more than the proverbial or visual gaming use that has been done in the past. Cybersecurity is an emerging market, particularly that small and medium enterprises (SME's) are accelerating their decision to move to cloud systems, consequently this broadens the impact on the number of security service options that are being developed. These emerging markets represent great opportunities for growth for IT entities interested in innovation guided by practical sector-based user solutions.
