We were honored to host Prof. Alok K. Bohara, Emeritus Professor at the University of New Mexico, for an insightful seminar on “Governance Systems vs Narrative Systems: An Economic Perspective on Complexity, Cognition, and System Fragility.”

In his talk, Prof. Bohara explored why stable institutions remain elusive despite repeated political changes, highlighting the interplay between structured governance and the powerful role of narratives in shaping public understanding and policy responses.

Dr. Nirmal Kumar Raut delivered the welcome remarks, while the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Ram Prasad Gyanwaly, offered the vote of thanks. The event was facilitated by the Economics Students Society.

We thank all the students and faculty members who actively participated and helped make the event engaging and meaningful.
